They were by no means devastating punches. It was quite clearly an awful stoppage.Comment

I don't think I've ever said it wasn't a premature stoppage but you are denying that clean shots are landing when there's slow-mo, close-up video evidenceComment

His legs? They were clearly unsteady.
Him being badly hurt? He clearly was.
There are so many worse stoppages than this that wouldn't win an appeal. Let alone this one.
I don't know what I'd appeal for maybe If I were Peter Manfredo I'd appeal against the Calzaghe stoppage or something.
But Groves?that's ridiculous. Obviously the stoppage was early but certainly not to the extent where an appeal is warranted.
How is someone who's face looks like this goin to appeal?
Especially as he was hurt at the time of the stoppage.
Just ridiculous and he's out of his mind if he thinks he'll win it.Comment

He has maintained the same 'gospel' he said immediately after the fight until now. I sure as hell trust his feelings over yours.
Why are you saying he had no legs? He clearly got off the ropes before the fight was stopped and tried to push Froch back before being taken in a gridlock by the ref.
I have never said he was in total control, but there's no doubt he should have been allowed to continue. Froch landed about three half shots in the closing sequence. There's absolutely no grounds to stop a fight like that and it's really taking the piss on Groves.
He was clearly hurt and his legs were clearly unsteady. He wasn't out on his feet but his legs were unsteady.
Obviously he should have been allowed to continue but not to the extent an appeal should be warranted.
He's not going to win that appeal. There's literally no chance of him winning it. Hence why it's a ridiculous idea to even do it.Comment

the point is not that the referee was incompetent, but that he was inconsistent. froch was hurt worse than groves in that fight but for some reason he received the benefit of the doubt and groves didn't. that's corruption and should be a sackable offence.Comment
