    The top 4 biggest threats

    Pac, this is the truth

GGG, I don't want a middleweight champ goin down to 154 and beating up on a welter but GGG has said he is cool to go down to 154 and Floyd is supposedly the number one guy at light middle, so why not? Plus Floyd was pretty adamant he'd fight Martinez at a catchweight of 150-154...which leads me to

Martinez, size, strength, speed, reflexes and power, highky doubt the fight gets made now but Martinez retaliated to Floyds proposition...ain't heard a peep from Floyd on that matter in years

Bradley, the best welter currently after Floyd, a Pac rematch if it happens will tell us more

Honourable mentions to Lara for he is one of the best at 154 and Khan, due to his style (Roach version).
I just know that Mayweathers not going to fight above his weight unless there's big money which their isn't.

I'm not interested in Pacquaio until I see where he's at because at the moment I have no idea.

Definitely not Danny Garcia. A 3 time junior Middleweight champ shouldn't be fighting a 140 lb. champ.
Really? Why not? He's also been a jr lightweight champ, lightweight champ and, like Garcia, a jr welterweight champ.

      • Martinez
        Golovkin. Both at 160.

        Pacquiao at 147.

          Bradley

It gets tough after that. If Lara fights and beats the ginger, I'd put him there. If Garcia keeps improving, him as well. People need to give up on Martinez or Golovkin, neither is moving down and Mayweather isn't going to middleweight for them.

            These aren't credible fights.

Was Povetkin? Was Haye? Was Chagaev? Yes.

Is Pulev? Is Fury? Is Stiverne? Yes.

Is Maidana? Is Thurman? Is Bradley? Yes.

            These are credible fights.

Just because Klitschko and Mayweather are seemingly vastly superior to everyone in their division doesn't mean it's not credible for them to fight the best and top guys in their division.

That's just ridiculous and simply just unfair. Anyone else can fight these guys at either WW or HW and they're credible but because the Champions are so good they aren't credible?
are maidana thurman or bradley likely to put up a competitive fight against floyd? i dont think so. this is what im saying, as a fan, why would i want to watch a mismatch?

if you are clearly superior to your welterweight counterparts, why not move up and find a bigger tree to chop? why not add something to your legacy? sergio martinez is there for the taking, why not add the lineal middleweight title to your resume, surely thats better for everybody? fans get a good fight to look forward to and its win win for both fighters.

            • He's had some trouble in the past with cagey boxers (Zab Judah) and had difficulty with two of his three fights at the 154 weight limit (De La Hoya and Cotto) so I would say that the fighters that might stand to give him the most trouble would be slick boxers at the junior middleweight limit — namely Lara, and possibly in the distant future Demetrius Andrade.

mayweather vs guerrero isnt credible if you ask me. mayweather vs ortiz isnt credible. mayweather vs khan isnt credible.

klitschko vs Pianeta isnt credible, mormeck etc etc
So, by your way of reasoning, if the 160-pound division were to be currently weak also, you'd simply look for a credible threat for Mayweather to fight at 168? And, if not, you move on up still?

                Gottcha.

                • I always felt that Sergio Martinez was the only fighter/boxer to beat Mayweather because of his capabilities of adjusting on the fly and finding openings to be effective. To beat Floyd a fighter has to out think or think as fast as him. As much as people say and want to believe it but Manny had/has no chance because Manny has no defense and can't dodge a counter right. Floyd is just too accurate and smart for Manny. Lara has become an interesting opponent for Floyd in my opinion.

                    • Paulie Malignaggi has the best chance of beating Floyd. Only way to beat him is with a great jab, and speed.
