Remember when Ward didn't want to fight bute and said hes going to 175?

"I was disappointed," Ward said. "Bute and his promoter were screaming and yelling that I was ducking them, then they go and make a two-fight deal with Froch where if he loses, he takes Froch back to Canada? I didn't understand that. I was never ducking him, I just wanted to build up the fight. I was coming off two years of grueling fights and I felt he needed to fight someone. But ducking him? Come on. He wants belts, I have three belts over here if he wants to fight for a belt."
If he was overhyped then its all the more reason for Ward to make the fight. Easy money.Comment

Yeah Ward never used an injury as the reason. He simply didn't want the fight because Bute needed to "prove himself".Comment

Remember when Bute totally avoided the super six while all these fighters beat each other up. Then gets smoked by the runner up in the super six. That was a beyotch move by Bute.Comment

no i don't remember that. showtime said it themselves that they didn't invite him. was he just supposed to show up anyway and fight? that would have been pretty badass actually.Comment

wards a bi-tch. clearly. he avoided the southpaws with devastating lefts for a reason. he uses the same lame-o stance as floyd. yeah he will fight a right hand dominant southpaw like dawson(especially if hes a zombie) but stevenson or bute? too dangerous. bute didn't prove himself but did edwin rodriguez prove himself? lol!Comment

That's how sad boxing is now in days. P4P #2 chasing a bum like Jr instead of moving up to LHW and going after greatness. How bad ass would it be if Ward moved up, fought Koveluv, Super Man fights Pascal if he beats Bute and then Ward fights the winner???Comment
