his footwork is technically crappy for what u would expect from a world class boxer. but it helps him do what he does, and usually, no 1 is good enough to capitalize off his mistakes. but if anyone were to go in a gym and try that ****, they would either be laughed out or knocked out.

It's hard to bet against a man when he calculates risk into every fight, waits for the right timing, and cherrypicks the exposed or washed up

Maybe you're right, but that's not the way I remember it. About five years ago, there was a lot of clamor about the fight. We kept hearing rumors of rumors. This guy and that guy were agreeing "in principle," then they would back off. As far as I can recall, there was never any official announcement. In fact, whether they were even close to an announcement is debatable.

Maybe someone can shed more light?

No he wasn't, but it was close. Mayweather hasn't been the betting underdog since Corrales.

Muh man. I was wondering when someone would bring this up. I thought this would be the most popular answer, with DLH being number two.

I agree, Pacquiao Is lightning fast, Is one of the best combination punchers In the game, has very good footwork and can hit you from just about anywhere he chooses. I think Mayweather wins a close decision but I would not be surprised If he doesn't get caught with the straight left and dropped at some point In the fight, most likely early. I believe Pacquiao looks good early and somewhere around the 4-5th round Mayweather figures him out.

I thought Ortiz was doing a good job early on by swarming Floyd even tho a lot of it wasn't landing clean. But like they say, to beat Floyd, tire him out by hitting arms, shoulders, etc.

I think Floyd felt threatened thus found the easy way out with the cheapshot. And no I'm not trolling.

No offense man, but Ortiz having success against Floyd before the "cheap shot" is one of the most persistent and annoying myths in recent boxing history. If by "success" you mean landing nothing of substance and eating straight rights like candy, then sure, Ortiz was having all kinds of success.

And Floyd didn't feel threatened, he felt pissed. Watch the replay, and you will see the spite in his eyes.

To answer OP's question, for me it was the DLH fight. I thought Oscar might be too big for him.

Technically speaking, Manny's footwork isn't all that. But it doesn't matter. His movement is very quick, and he has the ability to launch bombs from awkward angles. Balance doesn't affect his game like most fighters.
