Canelo. He had youth, size, strength, and i honestly thought he would be able to cut off ring and eventually catch him. Not out box him, no one can outbox floyd, but i thought he would catch him.

Of course this was when he was considered dangerous and way BEFORE he was considered a cherry pick by NSB experts

And Floyd didn't feel threatened, he felt pissed. Watch the replay, and you will see the spite in his eyes.

To answer OP's question, for me it was the DLH fight. I thought Oscar might be too big for him.
No surprise. I thought Oscar would be up there.

It's been a long time since Floyd could be considered in real danger before a fight. If he never fights Manny, the DLH fight might be the last time Mayweather faced a serious challenge. He'll probably retire before allowing some young buck to beat his over-the-hill self.

I never thought Alvarez would beat Mayweather. I won a wager at a fight party over that one. lol Paradoxically, I thought Canelo looked pretty good versus Floyd, although Mayweather beat him handily. I just couldn't understand why he chose to box with the master. Alvarez needed to take the approach you're suggesting.

I blame it mostly on Jim Lampley. He was overly exaggerating the commentary right before the headbutt. Even literally yelled enthusiastically that Ortiz is jumping on him. But that jump was a headbutt!

Then take a look at the Miguel Cotto fight, where Cotto was throwing shots to Floyd in the corner. And you'll hear Lampley over exaggerating again, even doing sound effects yelling 'BOOOM!'

yeah, you went all in on Canelo and the new era of boxing. Hit happens, I thought Broner would destroy Maidana.

Never even crossed my mind that Canelo would be able to even trouble him, if you have a worse workrate than a 35 year old Floyd you wont get the job done.

From everyone to 147-160 I believe Lara and Martinez are the only two that legitimately challenge him.

Never thought he would out work him. Thought he would figure out how to cut off ring and then use size strength and decent speed to wear floyd down and eventually catch him. He went about it wrong.

Honestly i thought ghost had the best chance of winning,,

Floyd looked aged and slower vs cotto, so i thought a year later, a young tiger like ghost would push the fight and had a chance of outworking floyd to a decision,, I didnt pick him to beat floyd, but of the last few opponents i thought he had the best chance given the timing and circumstances of the fight

                      Totally wrong
