From everyone to 147-160 I believe Lara and Martinez are the only two that legitimately challenge him.
Not just the workrate, but Alvarez has never been a pressure fighter, so all the predictions that had him using his size and cutting off the ring to wear down and catch Floyd were always strange to me. You don't go from never fighting a certain way to fighting that way successfully against Floyd Mayweather Junior. It was never going to happen.

Floyd looked aged and slower vs cotto, so i thought a year later, a young tiger like ghost would push the fight and had a chance of outworking floyd to a decision,, I didnt pick him to beat floyd, but of the last few opponents i thought he had the best chance given the timing and circumstances of the fight

      Totally wrong
Interesting. Floyd is aging well. He'll get old someday, but it's going to be tough predicting exactly when.

Corrales... after that fight I never doubted him again. I was concerned for a couple fights but I never thought he would lose after the Corrales fight.

There was no other way for him to beat Mayweather, doe. Alvarez tried boxing with Floyd. (Umm...no. Try again, Canelo.) I thought that was just a bad, bad decision on the part of team Canelo. Unless Mayweather gets old, or a heretofore unseen talent comes along, someone will have to pressure Floyd and drag him down.

If it hadn't been for his insecurity as a fighter, it would have been. He asked for a catch-weight. Something that ATG fighters wouldn't have done. That was an example of him thinking he's smarter than he is. Canelo was a pale ghost in there. He was slow, plodding, and that win proved nothing at all.
You're a clown! Those old fighters fought with a same day weigh-in... they never fought guys that outweighed them by 14+lbs regularly like Mayweather does. Name me one supposed all time great that fought a young strong undefeated champion that would be 14+lbs heavier than them in the ring! Hell name one of these "ATG's" that fought any opponent that outweighed them by even 10lbs! Sugar Ray Leonard is considered an ATG by many and he fought a catchweight. Those older fighters also were allowed many things in the ring before and during the fight that today would be illegal. You just look for any excuse to down grade Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather didn't even make the catchweight limit he came in under on the official and unofficial scale.

It's simple really. It has nothing to do with his "skills". Every fight Cotto takes, he can lose. Every fight that Manny takes, he can lose. Pretty much every fight that Ward takes, he can lose as well. You get where I am going with this? Boxing is about competing against the best, not worrying about your record or how much tax problems another fighter has. What happened to giving the people what they want? Isn't that important as well? Besides, ODH is Floyd's daddy and showed him how to get money, and we the fans, MADE HIM. For anyone who defends his cowardness, isn't a true fan at all.
You're clearly pushing an agenda in here which you firmly believe so press forward.

People make such a big deal about extra weight...it's only gonna be a big d'être men when you fight someone almost as skilled.. If he fought Martinez then sure it may be a factor but what's an extra 14 lbs of wart weight gonna do when your 20x better then your opponent. Same as Manny being 17 lbs less then Margarito...not on the same level...

Diego Floyd was a 3-1 underdog, so for most people I'd have to say that fight...anything after I'm not sure if he wasn't a favorite going in didn't matter who he was fighting.

There was no way he was going to beat Mayweather barring the man getting old overnight, period. Not sure how people didn't see this. This isn't hindsight by me, said all this for months before the fight.
