BTW, the word is "HUGE". "HUGH" is the British guy who got the *******.
sigh....and once again, I dont give a damn what you think. Lol, thanks for the spelling tip (you have a serious hangup with typos huh?) because, regardless of what anyone else may say, proper grammer and spelling IS of major importance at any and all boxing websites. If correcting others spelling is something youre actually 'into' youre gonna be a very busy guy. Lame

I think this trilogy is way overrated. I can only call the first fight great. The other fights was one sided wins for Gatti.

You guys are rough on Gatti. I don't expect a chess match when I see Gatti. I expect a war.

For you downing him for not being as talented, I say DUH. We know this.

Because as I was watching that fight, I was saying "Jeezusss, I can't believe neither of those palookas know how to slip or block a punch or ever learned a lick of defense".

That is someone who looks at boxing analytically with an appreciation for the skillset and technique required to be a good fighter... Eating a bunch of punches from a SLOW fighter isn't skill. IT'S LACK OF SKILL.

I've posted several times that I know his limitations, as do many other fans. But still like him and love to watch him fight??? SURE, you bet!

This is laughable. Castillo/Corrales I was highly skilled? WHy is that? Because they both leaned back on occasion or put their hands up slightly higher to protect themselves while standing toe-to-toe slugging at eachother? If you're going to be a ****, at least try not to be a hypocritical one.

All great fights ("heart, determination, excitement, intensity")contested at a high level with elite fighters. That automatically makes those fights a rung above PizzaBoy-Boozer.
Also, I never claimed the Gatti/Ward trilogy is the greatest thing in boxing, so don't try to imply that I ever did. It was 3 excellent, enjoyable fights despite the skill level. I don't care how skilled a fighter is, or unskilled (well, there is a limit obviously, but not so low that Gatti/Ward don't fall into the category) I just want to see 2 evenly matched opponents prove who's the better man in the ring. I don't care if there are 2 world class opponents in the ring if one gets blown out of the water or is outboxed the entire time.

As for Gatti's best victory.... he has had many solid victories but no single fight defines what Gatti's best win would be. You could claim it was defeating an aged Leija. Gatti has spent most of his career struggling with good opponents and dominating most mediocre ones. His biggest fights have gone either way. Joe Frazier's biggest fights were against Ali and Foreman, and most of those didn't turn out so well. So would we discout Frazier as garbage if he had not beaten Ali once so his biggest win would no longer be as impressive? (and to save us both time, don't think this last sentence is an excuse for you to rant about comparing Frazier/Gatti, for I was merely doing it under basic circumstances)

Barrera against Morales has ABSOLUTELY NO DEFENSE EITHER. By your logic you should be critical of their performances too.

Sorry, I'm just not a jock-sniffer for unskilled brawlers. But don't let me stop YOU. Have at it. How many of those fighters above are "slick"? Now how many are "skilled"? ALL of them. Learn the difference. Your cyber-insults give me a chuckle. I'm sure you relish your new role as the Don Rickles of the Internet.

This pompous **** is hoping to hear about Gatti's best victory before I die.

...and good day to YOU, sir... LOL

...BUT NOT ONE OF YOU TOLD ME WHAT GOOD FIGHTER HE HAS BEATEN.

STILL WAITING FOR GATTI'S BEST VICTORY.

                  a journey dosen't become champ...
Journeyman fighters have tonnes of losses in their records and are stepping stones for fighters coming up.

                  Gatti's Victorys:

Tracee Paterson: WBC batamweight champion and IBF champion
                  Gabriel Ruelas: WBC featherweight champion
Jesse James Leija: Former WBC superfeather champion
Gianluca Branco: good fighter with a sold record
                  Leonard Dorin: WBA Lightweight champion
Terron Millett: Former IBF Welterweight champion
Joey Gamache: Former WBA Superfeatherweight champion

Now, if you call that a journeyman's record.....you are just ignorant and have no clue what the term 'Journeyman' means

gatti hasnt beat any great fighters, so he shouldnt be considered a great fighter.
