Gatti is a warrior, but even at a catch weight, Diego would probably beat him by a wide margin. Their only common opponents as far as I can recall are Manfredy (see above), and Mayweather, to whom both lost badly. Corrales' resume speaks for itself, amd Arturo has no huge victories. Corrales is one the best 10 or 12 fighters in the world, while Gatti's in the lower half of the top 100, in my eyes.

AGREE WITH ALL SAID ABOVE AND THAT IS A VERY REASONABLE PERSPECTIVE.

Castillo and Corrales' skill sets are better than they showed during that fight, but that's not what matters. I'm sure if you have Gatti and Ward show you all the jabs, short lefts, latteral movement, and general ring knowledge but that's not how they always fight. You named Castillo/Corrales as a high skilled fight... the fighters possessed the skills but didn't use them... therefore it wasn't a skilled fight. I smell ******.
      1) When you use the phrase "good day to you , sir", it is intended to be dismissive as in "I'm done with you and your kind". Responding to every subsequent post makes you look silly. Needy, at best.

      2) The infightng that Castillo does is VERY skillful. If you don't understand what you are watching, I will gladly come by and show you what is going on (make some empanadas and let me finger your wife). Diego chooses to fight a tactically poor fight. But what Castillo is doing is of the highest order.

      3) You VASTLY overrate your post. It got the response it merited. Leave the self-importance to people who are experienced with that sort of thing... me.

ok, i could go through all of ur posts and expose u on every1, but ill decide to save time and just pick oneof ur many clueless posts

        JM,

In all your illiteracy, you didn't say how "suprised" you were when I named Corrales who kept getting off the deck to pursue Floyd..and kept eating sharp counters. But was DETERMINED. Or round 10 of Castillo-Corrales 1 ...which speaks for itself.

Or when Morales had nothing left against Pac. Manny Steward commented in the THIRD round that Erik's legs looked weak. And EM gutted up and did his best and ended up getting knocked out. AGAINST A BUZZSAW.

Or Marquez who swallowed a ton of blood and got off the canvas three times in the first to earn (?) a draw.

Or Frazier who walked forward on a taller, quicker man to do his damage...eating punches the whole time.

Or Leonard who was getting beat and KNEW he needed a knockout (beyond today's twelve rounds). Dundee screaming to him in the corner: "you're blowing it , son!!".

THOSE ARE THE PERFORMANCES ETCHED IN MY HEART AND MIND. Not two average fighters who just CAN'T get out of each other's way.

Or when Gatti was getting blazed by a much smaller man and he stopped throwing punches and just cowered starting from round 2. And then quit on his stool.

JMC: You can't even write, how can you know anything about the sport? You write like my third grade goddaughter.
personally,i think that the gatti-ward trilogy is better than the fights so far of castilio-corales, but its all perspective. just like ALL of the other things you stated. have oyu ever seen the trilogy? And you said frazier just walked thro punches, thats all that gatti-ward was, it didn have to do with them not being able to get out of the way, it was the choice NOT to attempt it. it is no diffrent from ur statement on frazier...hypocricy? and dont get me wrong, all the things u said were very true, and those guys proved to b warriors, BUT "if he can name to guys with the heart and determination of gatti and ward id b suprised" as in 2, as in the 2 fighting, as in not one of the fighters. yea, gatti quit on his stool, hes not perfect, quite far from it, hes not even great, but who is perfect? and im sorry if my typing isnt sufficient for u. its the internet, im not going to irght with perfect grammer and spelling.

        Er, wipe your chin.

No, i called you a ****** because you make gay comments like this...
"Ahhhhhh, THANK YOU... YOU JUST MADE MY **** HARD."

Gatti was never a great champion, but he was no journeyman as you have clearly stated.

Do you feel that Gatti is "a very good fighter"?

I dont know why anyone would hate on gatti though granted hes not the best fighter but for what hes done for boxing. To the not so hardcore boxing fans they know Gatti and Tyson. Gatti may not be world class but he has done what many cant do and become a household name
