Would Broner have beat Maidana if Maidana didn’t have much power?

You can what if anything, Lucas got beat up and was getting dominated the round that punch bruised his eye. Love seeing Matthysse fans still hurt over this.

Danny would beat Lucas easier in a rematch any worries he had are gone now; Lucas fights the same which would make him more predictable this time around.

It's such ashame that such a solid performance by Garcia was tainted by constant low blows.

As for the eye, Matthysse's corner ran a huge risk of letting him fight visually impaired in one eye but he did display a hear of a champion. To get to the point, yes, it will effect any fighter's performance but how much is the true question.

I was pulling for LM but this reminds me of the Bradley excuse in the Pacquiao fight.

No **** motherf**ker, how do you think he got that bad ankle? He landed on it awkwardly because he was in the midst of a Pacquiao flurry. **** happens when you're getting touched up.

Matthysse got that bad eye because Danny gave it to him. Part of fighting.

The fight was close anyway. People who said Lucas would just walk through him had already been proved wrong.

I'd go 70/30 for Lucas winning a rematch. Even with the dozen punches to the balls and headbutts, and a closed eye, even then the fight was competitive. Before that Matthysse was clearly winning. I watched it last night without the comentary, and Lucas was dominating Garcia, Danny had nothing for him.
Id' like to see a rematch, but only if there's a ref. that at least pretends to do his job. These last few fights have been a disgrace.
Broner vs Maidana could have ended up VERY different with all the elbows and pushing, not to mention the punch after the bell, the only punch that AssBeaten threw that hurt Maidana at all. That could have ended right there if Maidana hadnt been completely dominating the entire fight.
