That said, I mean just look at his resume. It's starting to get tougher for him now and I commend him for that but we all really need to see him in the ring with some real comp (Chavez and Karass were small steps in the right direction) before I even mention him in the same breath with any of the top ten P4P guys. He was talking a lot of **** to Paulie a while back -- I want to see them put that fight together. Like it was for Broner, Paulie would be a nice test to see where Thurman is truly at.
Yeah he doesn't have a solid resume yet but I just have a good feeling about the guy and I really like what I've seen so far. He can adjust, he doesn't panic, and he doesn't go for the KO if he knows he can't get it safely.

With Paulie, I think Paulie has a better chance at beating Thurman than Pac. He has the better style to beat him. To me, Pacquiao is beatable if you make him chase you around the ring. Cotto and Bradley (somewhat) figured that out late in the fight and I think Thurman has the versatility to do that as well, not to mention the power and mental strength to keep him off.

LMAO Rios has yet to get a win at Welterweight and you think he will give Thurman Problems!!! While Thurman got KO wins at 154 and 147, and fought ranked #1 welterweight competition. Your seriously trying to discredit Thurman. Rios lost to Alverado.

      1. Thurman Would TKO Rios and Possibly KO Pac.
      2. Soto Karass and Chavez would beat Rios.
      3. Soto Karass is more of a pressure fighter than Rios is.

Ehmm are people seriously forgetting something here?

With all due respect to Thurman, he is a really good fighter, but come on man, against pacquiao? He ain't and never will be on Floyd's or pac's level, and there is no shame in saying that for him. Those two are on another planet, simply two atgs, and people exaggerating Pacquiao's decline make me laugh. There is not one fighter, bar floyd and maybe marquez ( because of styles, although again if they do rematch I seriously doubt maruqez can pull that punch again) that can beat pacquiao full stop

Do you genuinely believe that Pacquiao fans are scared of a Thurman match up? Seriously dude? They're dying for him to fight the top pound for pound guy in the world, but they're scared of a Keith Thurman fight? I mean if you're just trolling then it's all good, but if you're serious then your logic is...not logical.

Thurman will try, he will not turn into a shell... or so I think. Pacquiao's power will turn anyone into a shell.
You hit the nail on the head, they all talk about destroying the little Filipino UNTIL they feel that first shot and their gameplan goes out the window. Most automatically go into survival mode and as you put it "clam shell" defense with the occasional potshot. Manny would have Koed all of his last several opponents if not for this very reason. I would love to see Bradley try trading with Manny like he did with Ruslan Provodnikov, early night if that happened. As for Thurman, he is a very good young fighter but has been kept from other power punchers for a reason, did you see what a slow as molasses Soto Karass did to him in the first rd? Can you imagine Manny teeing off on him with that speed? It would be good night Keith!

Power changes the game, you don't have to be the complete fighter to be the best fighter. Darnell Boone dropping Ward, Kovalev and KO-ing Stevenson is a case in point.

If Thurman lands the 'one time' on anyone in that division, there's a good chance of the fight going his way. Remember up until now he has been stopping big WWs, not small ones.
