Not only the reach benefits martinez but the style of cotto is made for martinez.. Only way cotto wins is if age has gotten to martinez.
Chavez was not fighting that night.

I have to watch Martinez vs Cintron. If Cintron lasted 12 rounds. I think Cotto could and win.

mayweather did it to ortiz but he came out first vs. cotto out of respect. cotto came out last vs. trout but out of respect, he should allow Sergio to come in last and be introduced last. he's a true champ. he deserves that. and I'm speaking as a Cotto fan.

My bad meant Wbo and the ppv was 50/50 however pac's minimum purse was higher then Cottos.

This whole fight is about cotto going for another title in another division. That's a big draw of it .

Mayweather, PAC,Mosley, Judah. He's also been in the ring with bigger guys, margarita, Trout. But Sergio has the tools to win as well. I think it comes down to game plan and who has more stamina in the championship rounds. Sergio has been very vulnerable in the second half of fights, Cotto comes on strong from the 3rd to about the 10th. This fight could be decided in the last 3 rounds. Another thing to note is Roach has Cotto sparring 15 rounds, which Cotto has never done, so well see if his stamina is improved.
I think you misunderstood my reply . I was speaking on what U said about how Sergio was acting during negotiations

Cotto would definitely do at least 8 rounds before he gets stopped.

Lmao bro you could have googled Sergio's hight and reach before you made the comment. Sergio 5'10 reach 73". Cotto 5'7 reach 67". Yuri Forman who has a way better jab then Sergio has been listed at both 5'11 and 6', so for the sake of argument lets just say he's 5'11.5". But his reach is listed at 72". One inch less then Sergio. Under Emmanuel Stewart, Cotto out jabbed Forman, proved not to be bothered by the reach and showed a far superior jab. Even before Steward began training Cotto he always said Cotto has one of the strongest jabs in boxing. When you box a taller man with more reach the way to beat him is by jabbing over his jab.

I hope Cotto can compete at this weight. He definitely has the skills, question is can he compete at the weight.

martinez was a 154lber who moved up to 160 because no one would fight him, fought pavlik, williams twice, dzinziruk, barker, murray, chavez jr......who are all bigger then him and whooped them and now you guys talk trash because he is fighting a smaller fighter???

so can anyone tell me who the next person sergio is afraid of after he whoops golovkin? the champion you guys ride who has only fought 1 world champion and has yet to be tested by anyone? whats the difference between golovkin and canelo? both had their fighters picked for them. here is a diff, canelo has actually beating more world champions then golovkin HAHAAHAHAHHAHA losers
