too be honest neither has GGG & kovalev have proven anything yet. I said the same thing about lucas matthysee & bet on danny garcia to win & was correct. beating Nathan cleverly doesn't mean anything. the only thing I hear & read is the same people here hyping a guy much like they did dimitrenko, boytsov, kovalev, matthysse, etc. all aboard the bandwagon until they lose. the funniest part of it all is the same guys actually take the time to go back & erase their posts hyping him or take them off their avatar. it is the same cycle over & over. kovalev & GGG are the new flavor of the month because they knock a few overmatched opponents out. they will have worshippers until they lose or actually have a tough fight then the so called "big fans" of GGG & kovalev will be nowhere to be seen... seen it here so many times over the last 4 years...

So in other words every foreign fighter is waiting to be exposed? Not every "fan" is like the ones you're talking about and NO fighters should be compared just because those same type of fans might of been "fans" of any boxers.

Yeah because some random guys on NSB made threads about Alexander freaking Dimitrenko it means Sergey Kovalev will suffer the same faith and be another overhyped bum who gets "exposed."

I can tell many of you don't know much about Pascal. Boy can FIGHT! Should beat Bute and move on to more big fights as he ducks nobody and is always willing to fight the top competition put in-front of him.

Big fites at 175 lbs really means going against Stevenson and Kovalev as both have belts as Pascal needs one and he aint going to cruiser. Shumenov isnt a boxer he just does it as an occasional thing kinda like how i help out with the snow at home.

Personally id like'em fite Kovalev and if hes successful then get an All Canadian Unification in Montreal. Hype wave will go all the way to folks in B.C.

Pascal is 100% right! HBO is trying hype this guy because their pickings are slim since they don't do business with GBP.

Andre Berto was Lou Dibella's fiter. GB only got'em rite before the Guerrero fite. Point being all promoters manufacture stars thats wat boxing is afterall thats why "rite fites at the rite time" phrase exists. Not everyone is Andre Ward.

I would love to see him in a Kovalev fight too, and he is a decent fighter - but what he seems to be saying is that Kovalev hasn't really earned the shots yet

(Or perhaps I'm being unfair - more that Kovalev isn't the LHW kingpin - which certainly in terms of draw is probably true, certainly in Canada).

The point is it kinda sounds like Pascals saying that Kovalev doesn't deserve the shots that both himself (with the Froch fight) and Stevenson (with the Dawson fight) got when they were arguably less qualified than Kovalev himself.

The only win that separates the 3 is Dawson, is Pascal saying Kovalev needs to beat an apparently badly faded Dawson to be the big dog?
