One of the things that for the past few years differentiate pro-amateur is the headgear, the Stevenson, Ali, Frazier era and before, was only the t-shirt, everything else was the same, again if you get pay because you are boxing you are a pro, the bigger the gloves the more damage could be inflicted, one punch ko doesn't do the damage that a 50 punches can do.

You must be a new boxing fan if you think "the bigger the gloves the more damage could be inflicted". Hahaha. So if they fight with 16 oz. gloves there will be more damage? Haha. The smaller the gloves, the more damage, you idiot. 8 oz. gloves are for 105-147 pounds and 10 oz gloves are for 154-200+ because they hit harder.

Bigger gloves mean more protection, obviously your boxing knowledge is limited if you don't even know that.

and if donaire fought rigo when rigo wanted the fight, he wouldn't have been that far away from where lomachenko is right now. he fought donaire when he was 10 -0. not exactly archie moore.
