Well, technically lomachenko has 7 pro fights, all this one fight thing is a promotion $h1t but they should count his fights with the wsb, he didn't wear headgear, he fought more than 3 rounds and what make him a professional prize fighter was, he got PAID, so for all you nuthuggers saying that this is his second fight f*^off and report the truth, there's only one person that fought in his first pro fight for the title, and loss, a Thay kick boxing champ fought and won in his first pro boxing match, lomachenko is going to fight salido in his 8 professional fight which is very impressive, but stop the BS please.Comment

Headgear is coming off in the Olympics also, and they will have pro scoring. Most of the participants do get paid in one way or another. Didn't the Cubans get a bicycle or something? Some guys do much better. So maybe the Olympics is pro boxing as well?Well, technically lomachenko has 7 pro fights, all this one fight thing is a promotion $h1t but they should count his fights with the wsb, he didn't wear headgear, he fought more than 3 rounds and what make him a professional prize fighter was, he got PAID, so for all you nuthuggers saying that this is his second fight f*^off and report the truth, there's only one person that fought in his first pro fight for the title, and loss, a Thay kick boxing champ fought and won in his first pro boxing match, lomachenko is going to fight salido in his 8 professional fight which is very impressive, but stop the BS please.
I agree it's a blurry line, but the main thing IMO is that when these guys signed up for WSB, they were told it wouldn't count towards their pro record. Else many wouldn't have signed up, since they were expected to face other top prospects early and risk losing. Getting early losses on your record as a pro is very damaging, that's why real pro prospects are moved so carefully.Comment

It not a pro bout deal with.
You think not wearing a vest makes it pro
Headguards?
Guess Ali and others had loads of extra pro bouts then.Comment

You get pay for fighting, you are a pro regardless...
One of the things that for the past few years differentiate pro-amateur is the headgear, the Stevenson, Ali, Frazier era and before, was only the t-shirt, everything else was the same, again if you get pay because you are boxing you are a pro, the bigger the gloves the more damage could be inflicted, one punch ko doesn't do the damage that a 50 punches can do.Last edited by BendOver; 12-29-2013, 04:27 PM.Comment

Some get "gifts" when they arrived to their respective countries, but in the wsb they are getting pay to smack each other, they can change the contract but the bottom line is that they do fighting for money.Headgear is coming off in the Olympics also, and they will have pro scoring. Almost all of these guys are paid to participate in the amateur competitions. Very few of them have day jobs. They box for a living.Comment
