What do you mean? Both are humble, but Pac has beaten a **** ton of top fighters, nothing like GGG.

take. I mean - kinda props to Clev, but he just lost to a huge puncher (albeit an extremely talented one) and decides to go up 25lbs in the hope that he'll beat another?

I don't understand how anyone can hate on GGG? He's exciting, skilled, humble and fights frequently. He looks like a choir boy but turns into an unstoppable offensive force. Golovkin has hype for those reasons. Simply put, he passes the eye test, has tons of amateur experience, and has shown nothing but willingness to fight the best. Everything you could possibly want.

He's clearly avoided. Kid C, Murray, and (to a lesser extent) Sergio all have given their reasons to not fight him.

People are criticizing his resume by saying he hasn't fought anyone, yet he's not given the opportunity to do so. It's a circular argument. Like you need work experience to get a job, but you need the job to get the experience. What's the guy supposed to do besides stay busy and fight the smaller fish?

He'll beat the living ish outta Sergio, Quillen, actually anyone 154-168 not including Ward.

Yeah - that's kinda what I meant. Said as much in the previous post.

The problem for GGG is that guys would rather fight for the IBF belt for similar money against guys they have a far better chance of beating. If HBO were willing to put up million $ paydays, we'd see these guys in the ring.

Golovkin is still kinda new to the US public, although his viewing figures have steadily grown - HBO may just need to throw the big $s at a fight soon, even as a kinda loss leader. It's possible they're budgeting for a Maravilla fight which might be worth the outlay - but also means that they can't afford the best of the rest.

Agreed, I like Cleverly and still think he has something to offer the sport, but why match him against a very similar fighter to the guy who just destroyed him. Makabu is possibly just as talented as Kovalev, hits just as hard and is 25 pounds heavier. Just makes no sense?? He will make a big statement if he pulls it off, but I just don't see it happening. Another KO loss will be very detrimental to his career.

Floyd is So good, his age NEVER gets brought up and hes 37

When people talk about other fighters who are 35+, their age is always à factor of their upcoming fight. Flous just fought the lineal jr middleweight champ who is 10 years goinfre than him and its called à cherrypick...wtf

Also, dont come at me with that "he doesnt get hurt" ****.....the boys hands are like marshmellows, Hes had a bad shoulder since he was in his 20s and he spends 12 rounds gettin beat on the arms and shoulders. He takes damage like à mf just not to the face.

                The man is the G.o.a.t.

He has the blessing of HBO - so if he's not getting the big fights then what exactly is the problem? This story about everyone @ 160 ducking him is a steaming pile. Again, Golovkin has the blessing of HBO and everybody wants to make the HBO money - so the "everyone @ 160 is ducking him" crap needs to stop. Golovkin is being PROTECTED - which shouldn't come as a surprise seeing as who his promoter is.

And if it were true that everyone at 160 is ducking Golovkin - a story which is a load of crap - then why does he not move up the eight pounds and meet the challenge that's waiting for him there in a truly big fight? If nobody wants to fight @ 160 then go fight Ward. I'm sure he's ready and willing. I'm sure HBO would be only too happy to make it worth everyone's while. Yet, Golovkin's promoter continues to raid cemeteries in order to find Golovkin's next opponent.

When will you G F@gs wake up and realize you've been conned?
