The irony is here that most of Euro / Aus fighters are more interested in the IBF trinket - Geale beat Sturm who beat Barker who beat Geale etc. On the other side of the pond you've got Maravilla who beat Macklin (who shoulda beaten Sturm), Barker and Murray (just) - who drew with Sturm. There's a slew of MW fighters who are on very much equal footing - in beating Macklin convincingly GGG has shown himself to be very much part of this mix.

The only guy who has shown his clear superiority over a number of the others is Martinez - and the Murray fight did more to illustrate that Maravilla's fading than that Murray is better than the other Aus/Euro MWs.

What Golovkin has to do is get at least two more of these guys in the ring next year - Sergio would obviously be the ideal, but right now Geale and Murray are looking the most promising. Even convincing wins over Geale and Murray (if Maravilla prefers to chase the $s) would be enough in my mind to put his MW dominance pretty much beyond question, though unless he can get Maravilla - even a faded version - in the ring, there'll be plenty of doubters.

He beats everyone willing to sign the dotted line! Why isn't Sergio signing to fight the number one contender who holds some belts also?
Is the money not up to par or is GGG a cause for concern because he can box and punch?
Heres what my eyes tell me for now, GGG is the best middleweight I see!
Sergio is gamer, he can box and utilize his ring generalship but as far as punching and the willingness to dominate he won't go there!
He wants nothing to do with GGG, neither do any of the names mentioned in this thread. The fellows who fight him are taking their opportunity to try and move up so the Rosarios of the boxing world should be commended. Ray.

Im not saying anything bad about the guy...I enjoy watching him fight, but he hasn't beat ANYONE. That's the only point im trying to make. Some people act like he is P4P and stuff....no way.

Fair enough. Who do you wanna see him challenged by and what if they'd rather not do the challenging?

"Hes beaten everyone they've put in front of him".

Wonder where I've heard that before, and am even more dumbfounded as to why that doesn't work with GGG?

GGG is the guy that I can see buzzsaw through the p4p guys around his weight but until he is given that opportunity I agree he probably shouldn't be on the upper half of any p4p lists (i have him on the 9 spot just off the proksa/macklin wins). you can't really give a guy accomplishment just based on what you think he will do as opposed to what he has done. still when the time comes i will be heavily in the GGG corner against any of the elite at 160 and just about anyone at 168 not named Andre Ward. Ward would be much more competitive than people expect though and if Darnell Boone could shake Andre I have no doubt GGG could put him on rubbery legs. Ward is a complete fighter though and can make it out of a crisis. We still have to see GGG truly tested to know what we truly have in him.

Didn't sound like he respected Paulie after they fought.
