Interesting. I wish they would have gotten that sorted out a long time ago but then again that doesn't seem like the broadcast team would be highest on their agenda so maybe they've sorted out the bigger issues.

I am actually pretty shocked Floyd would be ok with Lamplely doing the play by play. He tends to take shots at him personally.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. I doubt they would sort out the broadcasting team before they've figured out the $$$ split.

One person who requested anonymity told Yahoo Sports, "Believe me, if this fight doesn't get done, it will be because of Bob Arum. Nobody can figure what he is doing or why he is doing it."

But Arum's insistence on public comments are clearly an impediment to reaching a deal. That is one point that people on both sides of the aisles in these talks agree about. Top Rank president Todd duBoef is irate at Arum, his step-father, but has essentially thrown his hands up in the air and said he can't control Arum.

Even Pacquiao's team has gotten upset at Arum's willingness to go on the record with comments that often don't add up.

Mentions among other things that the network negotiations are narrowing down and perhaps going over final details. Also they have a tentative agreement on the broadcasting team and delay rights.

Arum won't kill the deal at this stage. It would be a PR nightmare for his business.

Arum doesn't care about public relations. He's been convicted of bribes, he's been caught in lies, and has made inflammatory outlandish statements. He'll just continue to do what he's always done to make money.
