I'm trying really really hard not to get my hopes up about this finally actually coming to fruition...they sure are making it hard these last few days to not be a little excited though.Comment

In 2014 CBS/Showtime did two Mayweather Pay-Per-View fights, which sources say did less than 900,000 buys each. With the break-even being about 1.2 million buys per fight, figure CBS lost a total of $10 million to $12 million on each rumbles.
There’s a better chance of Santa Claus shimmying down your chimney early Thursday morning than Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao ever facing off in a fight that could generate $200 mill…
Boom! Down goes your boy again..
Insert what I said again..
It's about marketability, I just showed you who's on top. fight earning is the current market value of a fighter.
32 million guarantee by showtime to floyd, less 12 million loss from that last fight = 20 million should have been the realistic fight purse for Floyd just so showtime can break even on that fight.
But for showtime to earn at least, floyd's earning for that maidana fight should have been less than 20 million so that showtime could take home some piece of the pie.
Pac's last fight earnings was 23 million. With Everyone around him making money.
Based on that, pac is even ahead on marketability.Last edited by Spoon23; 01-31-2015, 12:49 AM.Comment

Compared to ppv revenue and gate? Yes....
I was saying they spent a lot on the may day thing that mayweather produced. Like over a million. Plus at least a couple million on advertising. I know they have ads on the CBS channel too. It doesn't matter if its on their channel...... That is lost revenue therefore they still have to pay for it.Comment
