Agree, Khan punkass don't deserve the shot, but he's got a huge following in the UK. Thurman has never headlined a card before, he's no where close to being as popular as Khan is world wide. You need that to seel fights. Khan-floyd will create the same buzz hatton-floyd did, and that was a huge success financially. A win vs maidana would put him in line for a shot thoughComment

You're not answering my question, so I'll answer it for you. There's not a single fighter currently fighting at 154 or below that Floyd wouldn't enter the ring as a solid betting favorite again. Which is why your position that "Floyd dosnt fight anyone that poses a threat" is ridiculous. Because since Floyd would enter the ring as a solid favorite against anyone he fights. His critics (more accurately HATERS) will ALWAYS be able to go to the "Floyd doesn't fight threats" because there's no one at 154 or below that wouldn't enter the ring as a sizable underdog against him. Including the men you named.
Even though hes favourite the prospect of fighting Pac spooks him. Listen to everything Floyd has ever said as regard the subject then you will agree with me.
Basically why don't Floyd challenge himself then. Fight someone hes not supposed to beat? Floyd doesn't rate himself as highly as his fans do is what we are concluding.Last edited by hugh grant; 12-21-2013, 05:57 PM.Comment

There's only so long he's going to be able to avoid as much as he does.
Maidana will bring the fight from start to finish, with power.
Obviously I do think Mayweather wins with ease from his last fight but I think the power and aggression, something Floyd's not seen since perhaps Cotto? Although Cotto doesn't bring it for the entire fight like Maidana would.
I want to see it myself. I'd much rather if over Khan and probably anyone else right now who's ranked at WW other than Bradley.Comment

Im not comparing it to Floyd's. Im saying that Bertos and Broners defense doesn't compare to Floyds. You said Maidana broke the shell and im saying that Broners and Bertos shell don't compare to Floyd's.Comment

That's right Sr! Problem is, Jr is afraid fighting brawlers that doesn't fear him. Maidana is fearless and throws a lot of punches and even if he's one dimensional boxer, El Chino's will and strong chin could be a problem for Jr. It will be win for Floyd but it ain't going to be easy specially if Jr. Feels Maidana's power. A lot of idiots count el Chino out against AB and look what he did to the little poor skilled boxer. Floyd is too smart, no way he will fight Maidana, it will be glassy road runner Khan's time....that's the easy fight!Comment

Floyd's going to be 37 if it were to happen.

I'm not sure at all that Maidana would bring it all 12. 7 rounds of swinging, missing, and getting countered hard would probably have him listless by the time the championship rounds arrived. I'm rather sure Floyd hits hard enough to hurt Maidana, too.
You know I'd be rooting for Maidana to win, but I can't see it, even more than Khan this is an easy fight that I have a hard time seeing Maidana posing any threat whatsoever in. This isn't revisionist, "oh Maidana's a possibility so let me hate" talk either. I made that thread a couple of weeks ago saying this about the possibility of Floyd-Maidana if Maidana beat Broner.Comment
