Sure that could be the reason.

But the part where you prop up Khan as a more legit opponent is a joke. Sure styles makes fights, but Floyd beating Khan means nothing. There isnt even a story behind the fight. And Khan is 2-2 in his last 4 fights (Dropped and buzzed number of times in his last fight), while also not looking any better. Maidana on the other case is 4-0 with better wins while also looking like a more improved fighter. Also has a back story of Floyd being Broner's "Big bro"

He shouldnt be fighting either, but out of these two at this moment in time Maidana is the better option.

Dan.....there are a lot of people here who believe that....I can't believe how many people believe that maidana would be a problem for Floyd!!

How can people ignore so much common sense?

Precisely! The better option for Floyd...Not for the fans who want to see a decent fight. Dropped or not Kahn is dangerous for Floyd and the returns are not what a Maidana fight would yield.

And this whole situation screams for a Pac Mayweather showdown.

Floyd can't believe his luck, the limited Maidana has just fallen into his lap as a legit opponent. I hope Broner ignores Floyd and forces the rematch.

Maidana will try to walk through Mayweather.. and use his tenacity to make it worth the watch. I believe he accounts for himself better than canelo mosley ghost and ortiz did. Khan gets chin checked and spends a majority of the fight gunshy on his bike as floyd walks him down. Not as fun a fight as you think... Maidana fight is superior in merit and in entertainment value.

I don't think that would make a difference.

If Floyd wants the Maidana fight then that's what's going to happen.

True, he'll likely get his own way but Schaefer/Sho might prefer Khan if it brings in more money. I did see Espinoza retweet something about Floyd-Khan so they could perhaps nudge him in that direction.

Personally, I don't like the Maidana fight because it feels like I know what's going to happen, we've seen Floyd deal with variations of Maidana's style before whereas with Khan there's at least an element of doubt due to his unique style and speed.
