Rigondeaux wins but it'll be interesting
Guillermo Rigondeaux Vs. Leo Santa Cruz

The only way I can see Santa Cruz winning is if he puts severe pressure on Rigondeaux throughout the fight with a very high punch rate. I think that's the only way Rigo can be beat is with a big puncher with a very high pressure style. Rigo is just way too good to be out boxed by anyone, so he's not losing that way.Comment

Leo has fought tomato cans and cab drivers ofc he hasnt been down it's not about knockdowns anybody can get flash kd is what you do after you get up.Lets see santa cruz get dropped and get up in steady legs and dominate then he may impress me. In his first step up in competition Cruz looked like he got carried by being the bigger man so idk what the hell you even talking about like santa cruz stock is doing so well now.
And You mean the same Mares that is still sleeping somewhere In the stub hub center in cali? Yes i see him doing great against a counter puncher who hits as hard or harder than gonzales does.
Lets face it you are not being objective you just post b/s out of love for them because they are mexican nothing wrong with that but is still b/s
Lol hey those where two good fking fights I thought Agbeko won 1 but Mares at least scratched them thats for sure.
Other than Donaire who has Rigo fought and looked spectacular against, the tomato cans and cab drivers where the ones that gave Rigo Flash knockdowns. You think Leo is untested but Rigo has less than half the pro fights, eff his amateur career!
And Rigo hits harder than Gonzalez GTFO, Mares would beat Rigo same way he beat Moreno w/constant pressure!Comment

Hahaha here we go with the how many times he's been down **** again. Lmao must be the reason why Hearns didn't amount to anything.Again how many times has Leo been down before, OK now how many times has Rigo been down? People praising Rigo too much for his win over Donaire, If anyone was overhyped maybe it was Donaire because if he would of agreed to face Mares his L would've happened sooner or later!
It's been proven that once you go the distance with Mr Santa Cruz he looks fairly average. Same thing with Broner, every time he went 12 he would get a gift decision or look average as ****.Comment

I'll tell you who's also overrated, the guy in your sig. Horrible defense.Originally posted by el_mas_chingonAgain how many times has Leo been down before, OK now how many times has Rigo been down? This makes no sence at all Donaire hits harder than Gonzales is who I was referring to and so does Rigondeaux for that matter, the fact that Mares can be countered and put to sleep. Leo santa cruz first fight on the level of Rigondeaux's tomato cans was Seda and he didn't look like hot **** then rest of Santa cruz resume is garbage not even tomato can worthy compared to a guy with just 13 fights If Rigondeaux would have fought nobodies for 20 some odd fights he wouldnt have made it to p4p status in 13 pro fights. Mares has no chance other than in people's imagination and Cruz has no legitimate chance in hell as of right now and everyone knows it just look at the numbers they tell you there are 13% of biased nationalistic supporters and you are just one of them....you are in denial land.Other than Donaire who has Rigo fought and looked spectacular against, the tomato cans and cab drivers where the ones that gave Rigo Flash knockdowns. Nonito is a counterpuncher by nature, but he's been known to effectively lead in a fight. Did you watch the Mathebula bout? Donaire chased the bigger man around the ring, throwing haymakers and breaking Jeff's tooth. But that was Mathebula. When he tried that with Rigo, Nonito got his face busted up.Donaire's not a come forward fighter though. He's not the least bit good at it, let alone comfortable. Agbeko is a veteran near the end who isn't as willing to walk through punishment like he was in his prime.
Leo's young, a very good pressure fighter, fundamentally sound, and long. He has the attributes and the style to potentially make Rigondeaux uncomfortable, arguably more so than anyone else Rigo could fight. It's not like Rigo is invincible, as great as he is.Comment

Rigo has been down twice in his career. His glove touched the canvass (literally, that's all it was) versus Ricardo Cordoba, a solid fighter. Donaire, whom everyone knows is a very hard puncher, knocked Guillermo down coming off a clinch.Other than Donaire who has Rigo fought and looked spectacular against, the tomato cans and cab drivers where the ones that gave Rigo Flash knockdowns. You think Leo is untested but Rigo has less than half the pro fights, eff his amateur career!

Rigo hits very hard. He knocks out cab drivers. Nonito and Agbeko are the only two fighters "El Chacal" hasn't dropped. But Donaire was running for his life at the end of their fight, and Joseph pulled a "Clottey." Anyone that comes at Rigondeaux risks getting KOed or having their face rearranged.Comment

No he wont he will get countered, will feel Rigondeaux power and decide that staying away will serve him better than commit and lay on the floor waiting for the 10 count...Rigo is the clear favorite, but lets be honest, santa cruz would be a very live underdog
Rigo has yet to face a high caliber pressure fighter in the pro ranks,, I think rigo would win, but i also think santa cruz may outwork him, tire him, and come on strong late in a fight that looks alot like mares-morenoComment
