Guillermo Rigondeaux Vs. Leo Santa Cruz

That is a plausible scenario, the only thing i think your off on is that unlike doniare, santa cruz will be throwing 5-6 punch combinations, regardless of how rigo comes forward or backwardsanta gets his head flown messing with rigo
heres the problem. in the first 3 rounds rigo will shock a lot of people & come towards santa cruiz (just like he did donaire) he will hurt cruiz to the head and body and push cruiz backwards. cruiz will remain cautious for the remaining of the fight
(i predict a 9th round stoppage)
Donaire and Leo are nothing alikeComment

unlike donaire cruz is very sloppy and his power is actually severely overrated........his accuracy is way off at times (I've even seen him even throw slaps) you can't come in like that with a powerful sharp shooter like rigo. you will be put to sleep........
rigo is gonna go right at santa cruiz for the first 3 rounds (mark my words) cruiz will get himself hurt & discouraged. the guy will not being throwing his usual volume at all............i can't wait to take bets.Comment

It seemed like LSC was disappointed with his performance. He even apologized to his fans a little. I like Santa Cruz and I think he gives anyone trouble, but this Rigo guy has spoiler written all over him and will move and pot shot his way to a win.Open for counters? He hardly got hit outside of flurrying body shots against Seda, and does a pretty good job picking off punches with his arms and gloves. He certainly wasn't getting caught by counters. Obviously Rigo is a different story, but Santa Cruz's defense is pretty good, especially for his style.
I don't get how people are disappointed in Leo's performance against Seda. He did a lot more boxing than normal and did a good job.Comment

I'm a Leo Santa Cruz fan, but I think Rigo would win an 8 to 4 type unanimous decision in a competitive fight. Although I do think Leo Santa Cruz is capable of winning. I think Santa Cruz made the right adjustments in his win over Ceda, and if he can do the same against Rigo, then he could beat him. Ceda is not on Rigo's level though, so it'll be a lot harder.
I think the only person at 122 who gives Rigo a tougher time than usual and has a chance at winning is Leo Santa Cruz.
And off topic, but I think at 126, Abner Mares K.O.s Rigo. And don't bring up Mares being K.O.d by Gonzalez, because Rigo doesn't have that type of power.Comment

I favor rigo, but dont underestimate a sloppy awkward style that leo has,, many of great fighters have been unseated by awkward guys or at least given a very tough time ie forrest-mayorga, maidana fights, floyd-augustus, sam solimon fights, etc...unlike donaire cruz is very sloppy and his power is actually severely overrated........his accuracy is way off at times (I've even seen him even throw slaps) you can't come in like that with a powerful sharp shooter like rigo. you will be put to sleep........

I think rigo could carve him up, but i think leo has a chance of causing him problems with his 5-6 punches, and if he can withstand rigo's power shots,,Comment
