Bradley won THE Fight of The Year in a Great year of fights by legitimately outpointing the Siberian Rocky who now holds a strap down at 140 after smashing up Alvarado and the outboxed the great Juan Manuel Marquez coming fresh off of his big KO of Pacquaio.

Adonis Stevenson had a real Breakout year, he avenged his sole defeat by KO then lit up the number 1 LHW in the division in the very first round with a single blow! He followed that up with a convincing display of boxing before former "champ" Cloud pulled out in their duel, finally he flattened an overmatched challenger in Tony Bellew in front of a partisan Crowd in Canada.

Garcia looked like an improved fighter to me this year, that boys good. He took on the divisions dangerman and the man they said he wouldnt - Lucas Matthysse.... And dominated him. Before that he bested Zab Judah in a spirited effort from the Brooklyn man.

Floyd Mayweather was perfect beating Canelo Alvarez and Robert Guerrero in his two outings and is still clearly the best fighter on the planet.
I give Danny a lot of credit for taking that fight and winning it, but he didn't dominate anyone. It was a clear but close victory. That said, Matthysse, although quite hyped, wasn't on any P4P lists. Nonetheless, that victory is Garcia's ticket into this discussion. The Zab victory means little, about as much as Rigo's win over Agbeko.

dawson is all done. boone is a journeyman with as many losses as wins.

dawson was coming off of a stoppage loss, and cloud had just lost embarrassingly to a nearly 50 year old poopkins.

it's certainly closer than you seem to think it is. there is no frontrunner for fighter of the year in 2013.

i'm guessing that the award will go to garcia or even mayweather. i would vote for garcia.
Regardless of who you think "sucks" or who you feel was "done", 3 were very good top wins at the time. Dawson was still the light heavyweight champion, and Bellew and Cloud were top 10 ranked. Boone wasn't elite, but Stevenson deserves credit for avenging the only loss of his carreer in the fashion that he did. It's not only that they were quality wins, it's the fact that he knocked out FOUR of them back to back in the same year. To me it's no question. It was a year that he avenged the only loss of his carreer by KO, won the title by KO and made two defenses over quality opponents, all by KO. I don't see how anyone else could be justified over him.

Bradley had a nice year...two nice wins. Comparing him to Rigo, Tim's fight with JMM was close, while Guillermo dominated Donaire. On the other hand, the Provodnikov win easily tops Agbeko.

Dominate was a bit strong but he was the better man all night. Matthysse's hype was serious man, people thought he might just ice Danny early no fuss. Danny beat the divisions biggest ****er and he didnt run doing it. It decided who is the top 140 lb guy was, massive credit earned from me here
Zab is ****e but he can be dangerous and on occassions turn it on again. The Judah Danny beat was the best version i've seen in years fighting in front of his home crowd and fired up from Angel's baiting...... Its only as i typed that i realise how weak that win is under the microscope! point taken.

Rigo probably had the best win of the year but surely Stevenson, Kovalev and Golovkin have to be the front runners with four fights a piece and four stoppage victories a piece.
