Guerrero was a solid fight, a Top 5 WW. Canelo was THE #1 fighter at 154 after beating Trout.

So he had one solid win, another very good win.

Rigo fought Donaire, who was Top 10 P4P hands down, and was a HUGE win. But Agbeko.....that wasn't a good fight, he hadn't done jack since 2011 and was basically irrelevant.

Bradley did beat Marquez, who was Top 10 P4P as well, and he did beat Provonikov, though he nearly and arguably lost to Provonikov as well.

Floyd lost maybe like 3 rounds out of 24 this year.

Floyd beat guys that he was supposed to beat and did. If you don't believe me, go check out the polls we had. Floyd was the clear favorite.

Its funny how you can easily criticize Rigo's Agbeko opponent who has a better resume than Guerrero and Canelo combined but forget the fact that Guerrero hadn't done much due to his layoff and did very little above 135. Since you love bringing ratings to show that Floyd fights top rated fighters, you fail to bring up that Agbeko was rated #6 and had other notable distinctions (former champ). While I agree that one can criticize Agbeko who hasn't been tearing down the division of late (won once this year and took a year off before that), but the point is that you are NOT being consistent in your analysis. Not surprisingly, you are being biased.

If you go beyond ratings, one can also say something about the other fight against the relatively inexperienced Canelo at a 152 CW.

While Floyd deserves credit for beating those fighters but how much should one get for beating fighters he was expected to beat? There are much more deserving picks but I see that you picked Floyd.

That can be said about certain divisions where the KING of the division is so much better than the rest that even the mandatory fighter or a top ranked fighter is not going to be considered a strong opponent. So do we make one of those fighters the fighter of the year every time?

But my point was that he was analyzing it differently for other fighters compared to when he was analyzing Floyd's opponents. If he was at least consistent in his analysis then all I can say is that I disagree but he didn't do that. He said Rigo was supposed to beat Agbeko, so nothing there. So then I responded, Floyd was supposed to beat Guerrero ..... , so nothing there.

Another example: I bring up that Mosley was inactive for 16+ months and OLD by the time he fought Floyd. Some Floyd fans use Mosley's rankings as an excuse which was again, based on what he did 16 months prior. Now they use this logic for Agbeko (inactive, not done much lately) but defend Mosley by using rankings!!! See the problem?

Floyd had fought once since 2007 by the time him and Mosley had in May of 2010.

Prior to the Mosley fight, Floyd had a chance to fight with Marquez then Mosley in May 2010. Not too bad since his opponent didn't fight anyone for 16 months. Floyd was much younger than Mosley so it didn't affect him as much.

You need to also remember that prior to the Margarito fight, Mosley didn't look too good in his fight with Mayorga until the knock down. The Margarito fight might have been a combination of a great fight plan and Margarito just getting caught with bricks in his gloves.
