Dummy,how many people have said something about the Mayweather PPV numbers??Plenty cause it matters fuicck head..It matter's into Mayweather overall yr..Not just what he did in the ring,but his overall business as a fighter..People continue to lose site that this is a business..While these guy's are fighters,they are also business man..Mayweather had the best yr of his career this yr in these terms..They will be taking into account,by fans by really anyone that has a vote..As they should be,it's a major accomplishment within the sport(making it a business d1ck face)..

Losing clearly to FMJ, and his best (close) win in Trout losing clearly to Lara. It puts the jury out on Alvarez and at very least it certainly weakens his case for being the next best in the division at this year's end.

What about Tavouris Cloud's "best wins Glen Johsnons" subsequent fights? Why weren't they listed in your objective breakdown?

He went 1-4 in his next 5 fights.

Dawson and Cloud are not better wins then Marquez(a HOF)and Prov a monster..Garcia win over the boogyman was also a better win then Stevenson's win over Dawson..Dawson was never really highly rated for me..Mayweather also fought and beat a fighter everyone wanted him to fight,and broke PPV record..Nah man,Bradley Mayweather and garcia are the guy's for me..

Let's take a look at the post again shall we..I compare their two best wins of the yr,while Stevenson's more impressive victory..Bradley had the more impressive opponents..Marquez over Dawson and Prov over Cloud's and Bullew..Simple really..

I'd vote Bradley over Stevenson aswell myself but PPV numbers don't or atleast shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I don't think PPV numbers or the fact that a fighter is nearing the end of their Career,or anything should alter who get's FOTY..Now let's be honest,we all know all of the above will alter who get's it..Weather they deserve it or not,which is my only point..These things will be taking into account,weather we like it or not..

We don't say, "he was considered better at the time than he is today, therefore fighter X deserves more credit"

It's like Calzaghe's win over Lacy, or Froch's win over Bute. Both good fighters, but not quite what they were made to be. We don't stick with the original pre assessment when we now have a better view.

I don't put Stevenson up there really. I took issue with you trying to say that Bradley's life and death struggle with Provodnikov was somehow more impressive than him KOing Dawson in 1 round.

Rigondeaux's win and performance against Donaire was the best of the year.
