    Not so bad...

Stevenson and it's not close. Avenged his only loss to Boone by KO, knocked out Dawson for the title, then add two more knockouts against two top 10 light heavies and ALL came this year.

Truth, that's why I'm not upset over the poll. I already knew what to expect in the poll results before I even clicked the thread.

kovalev's wins over campillo, cleverly, sillakh, and to a lesser extent white, are more impressive than stevenson's wins this year for my money. campillo beat cloud, cleverly beat bellew, and kovalev already beat boone better than stevenson did.

you conveniently left out stevenson's other opponents - tavoris cloud and tony bellew- who absolutely suck. bellew is a domestic brit, and cloud has done nothing in boxing. his people had to rob campillo to get a world title.

dawson is all done. boone is a journeyman with as many losses as wins.

dawson was coming off of a stoppage loss, and cloud had just lost embarrassingly to a nearly 50 year old poopkins.

it's certainly closer than you seem to think it is. there is no frontrunner for fighter of the year in 2013.

i'm guessing that the award will go to garcia or even mayweather. i would vote for garcia.

                    You have spoke the truth.

                    "poopkins"

I still think Keith Thurman might of done enough to sneak a vote in for it, I don't see why??
I mean he viciously KO'ed Soto Karass and a really tough Argentinian fighter Diego Chaves and showed a smart boxing IQ against Zaveck.
Keith Thurman has to be in contention for a world title shot for his next fight If he doesn't its in all honesty bull****, It should of been Thurman vs Malinaggi in the first place but ah well that played in favour to seeing that **** Broner get his ass whooped.

Haven't looked at the thread pages yet but Im thinking Tim Bradley and Adonis Stevenson had good years (they should fight).

Bradley won THE Fight of The Year in a Great year of fights by legitimately outpointing the Siberian Rocky who now holds a strap down at 140 after smashing up Alvarado and the outboxed the great Juan Manuel Marquez coming fresh off of his big KO of Pacquaio.

Adonis Stevenson had a real Breakout year, he avenged his sole defeat by KO then lit up the number 1 LHW in the division in the very first round with a single blow! He followed that up with a convincing display of boxing before former "champ" Cloud pulled out in their duel, finally he flattened an overmatched challenger in Tony Bellew in front of a partisan Crowd in Canada.

Garcia looked like an improved fighter to me this year, that boys good. He took on the divisions dangerman and the man they said he wouldnt - Lucas Matthysse.... And dominated him. Before that he bested Zab Judah in a spirited effort from the Brooklyn man.

Floyd Mayweather was perfect beating Canelo Alvarez and Robert Guerrero in his two outings and is still clearly the best fighter on the planet.
