give it to him..he needs all the hype he can get

it would give HBO something to talk about while they suffer thru his fights...it'll be better to talk about his accolades instead of how 'awesome' the other fight was instead of the one they're watching

as 15 people left in the crowd try to muster boos

Just being Devil's advocate here but what's makes Rigondeaux's win over Agbeko any better than Bradley's over Ruslan?

Of course Rigondeaux won with absolute ease as opposed to Bradley going life and death but a win's a win and that was a great performance by Bradley in the sense he showed other parts of his game.

Garcia beat Matthysse (good win) but not even close to equaling that of Donaire and he beat old ass zab judah.

Mayweather? Beat a ginger kid who nearly lost to Trout in a corrupt "open scoring" fight and won his title from Matthiew Hatton. Who else did Floyd beat? Guerrero? Nyet!

        Easy conclusion: Rigondeaux
I think the Guererro win is atleast as good as the Agbeko win.

I think considering Mayweather's had that Guererro win combined with such a huge PPV. He's almost guaranteed to be awarded it.

theres no way that you can give a honest view of agbeko without comparing him to the runner ups. (you're hiding the people that you think should be fighter of the year in fear of having your argument broken down)
So what you're saying is that Agbeko hasn't done anything in 3 years?

Any other fighter who came to fight like that would be called a pathetic bum, which is exactly what he was last night, regardless of how he once fought
thats bull..........rigo early on was landing precise body shots, wicked uppercuts, straight lefts (even right hooks) agbeko felt the power and feared that he would get caught & put to sleep (by what was coming his way) so he shelled up. agbeko is a top fighter that simply isn't in the class of rigo so he did what he could do. rigo created the doubt in agbekos head, kept him off balance all night, hitting him each and every way he chose. now just because you're pissed that agbeko couldn't get his shots off better & hurt rigo (or make it a close fight) it's meaningless. you didn't feel what was coming agbekos way to make him shell up like that........just because you're pissed that agbeko didn't make it a closer fight is more of a personal problem with yourself............but rigo was masterful against a very good opponent.

              cut the fanboyism.......

You know who should get fighter of the year? Ruslan Provodnikov. He absolutely beat the crap out the odds along with Bradley, a to 3 p4p fighter, in a fight of the year candidate. Then went on to brutalize a top contender (and ABC title holder) in Alvarado in another memorable fight.

I don't want to live in a world where a ****** insignificant W or L on boxrec makes the difference in getting the award. Had the fight gone exactly the same, but Provodnikov got the W instead of Bradley, Provodnikov would be the clear leader.

Rigo completely dominated Agbeko, while Bradley struggle mightily with Prov. That would be thee most obvious difference imo.
