To drop off 1.6mil PPV buys from 1 fight to the next is much worse than dropping 500k buys especially when you're coming off of 2 "official" losses while your opponent is coming off a loss himself. Also hatton was a much bigger draw with a much bigger following than Rios by far.
All you do is lie and post excuses.

Rumor has it that Guerrero/floyd did anywhere from 700 - 900k. In Floyds very next fight he did 2.2mil with Canelo. Hmmmm. Wonder why?
1st you said 1.6 mil now you're saying 850k. the fight sold 950k domesically and tdid very well in england. make up your mind on the number please.

as to the point you are attempting to make-its clear floyd/hatton was a success while manny/rios wasn't. if you now feel floyd/hatton was a flop because manny/rios was thats on you.

TR didn't think manny/rio would sell 400-475k-the press release touting manny's expected take of $30 mil shows this.

But hey-if you think the sales of manny/rios is an achievement you are entitled to. There are very few who agree with you.

don't lie. floyd/ghost sold 890k-1 mil. the reason the Canelo fight sold so much more:

Floyd actually helped promote the fight
There was a multi city press tour.
Canelo was a more known fighter than ghost
Canelo was bigger and percieved to have a chance to win
Canelo is the most popular mexican fighter in the world

Read again. I said it dropped off by 1.6mil. Not that it did 1.6mil. Even if it did 950k as your stating. That means he lost 1.5 mil buys in his very next fight.

          Where did I lie?

Look, pac/rios did what it did. This wasn't suppose to be some super fight that brought in 1mil+ buys nor did anyone expect it to do so. It was a comeback fight after getting ktfo. U guys seem more obsessed with the #s it did than anyone else.

Floyd was fighting Hatton!! Hatton was Big in the Uk he was still Unknown to Casuals..Bro!!!

Hatton vs. Floyd was Like Floyd Ghost!! with the Uk behind him!!!
the UK Sales and US sales together im sure the PPV did over 1 mill!!!

but You cant sit there and say Hatton was more Popular in America Than Guerrero to the Casual Fans...

Which PPV was hatton on before he fought Floyd??
Im sure Rios had a few PPV undercard fights..

Top Rank didn't go to China for to lose money, Bob went their claiming it was a huge market for boxing. According to Arum, adding Zou Shiming to the card would make the event that much bigger.

You think Arum's greedy ass went to Macau not expecting good number?

100% right I even remember BOb saying Pac would never fight in the US again!!!

all the pac fans were bragging about it will break all PPV sales...it flopped and they changed their Tune....I can put my life on it that Floyd fights Rios in china it will sell more than pac vs Rios...

HBO execs decided that firing one of its most productive producers and hiring one of the industries notorious Top Rank shills was the way to go. These numbers shouldn't bother them because they asked for it.
