'm not sure a boxing fan should be laughing at a poor PPV selling in this case. A success is usually what boxing fans want to see.

Oh, so it was Top Rank's fault? Or HBO? I saw 24/7, I saw the same billboard I always see in Times Square, I saw commercials. I guess this is why TR and Pac are demanding the Mayweather/Pac be made "for the fans", producing horrible ppv numbers means small ppv cut for Pac, which he will refuse.

Soooo by your logic, Garcia vs Matthysse would do $1.5 mill ppv buys? or $1 million? Highly unlikely, the fight wouldn't even be on ppv if it weren't for Mayweather/Canelo. Pac just lost some shine, why do you think his team is crying for a Maywether fight finally.....

I'm a MP fan, and not a Floyd fan (although I have tremendous respect for his ring skills)...and even I can see that AT BEST it's a 60/40 split in favor of FMJ. And even that at this point is probably a complete fantasy. It's more like 65/35 or even 70/30 now.

Especially in light of these PPV numbers.

These numbers explain Arum's desperation to get the fight done. No way Pac gets a 50/50 ppv split after doing these numbers, I wouldnt be suprised if Mayweather gave him the same offer as he did earlier 30 or 40 mil flat, no gate or ppv.

If I was Al Haymon and Mayweather, I'd let Top Rank and Pacquiao know that in order to get Mayweather in the ring. He gonna have to create a buzz for his name again. That being said, he'll have to fight Garcia or Broner in April. Any fight deal will have nothing to do with HBO cause they trying to make a name off a Showtime fighters. Showtime got more to lose off this Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight than HBO.

Oh and we all know Canelo and his fan base is what brought those numbers in his latest fight, just like DLH did.

this is the reason why khan is next. its because of the european and south asian draw. not because he's qualified. big numbers and easy win for floyd.
