When your previous fight sells 1 mil ppv's and your next sells under 475k-its not an achievement no matter how you try and spin it.
The estimates for floyd ghost are 890k -1 mil units sold.

Lol at guys looking at it as a bad ppv numbers,
I'll tell u this, arum is a silly old mother****er and he knows boxing biz more than anyone alive, he knew that the numbers would not be huge since its a test run but actually it was brilliant, he never lose money coz the venetian already paid the event, so the computatation will always gain.
What it the event did for top rank is
It introduced boxing in the asian market, wherein the next ppv event of top rank will be available in ppv in china, if the revenue from the phil and china are also computed as ppv buys. Imagine how much would hbo's profits would be in the next fight. That's what you call investing.
If the asian market platform would be perfected, then imagine what revenue it would bring tr. No wonder gbp is also planning to invade the asian market with khan in dubai? Coz they ****ing know that it's huge money than focusing mainly in the u.s.

Oh and we all know Canelo and his fan base is what brought those numbers in his latest fight, just like DLH did.

Its fine if you don't care. I'm just asking that you not cosign that Bungalows BS.

No. Same way I didn't for manny going from odh to hatton or manny going from 1.25 with cotto to 700-750k with Clottey.
Did you feel floyd/hatton was a flop?
Rumor has it that Guerrero/floyd did anywhere from 700 - 900k. In Floyds very next fight he did 2.2mil with Canelo. Hmmmm. Wonder why?Last edited by Deevel916; 12-05-2013, 01:36 PM.

Speculation continues to run rampant over how well – or poor – the November 23 pay-per- view event drew, airing live from CotaiArena at the Venetian Macao in Macau, China. Reports from Top Rank’s offices suggest figures in the vicinity of 500,000 units sold, which – even if accurate – would make for his lowest pay-per-view output since his June ’08 lightweight belt winning effort over David Diaz. I remember when 500,000 used to be a good number.
