Schaefer played his trump card with Canelo, they have no money making fights after that because of the ridiculous contract Showtime offered Mayweather.

since Mayweather's minimum guarantee is so high virtually every fight will lose money for Showtime/GBP except blockbuster fights, which they don't have one at the moment.

if Showtime loses enough money, Espinoza might have to turn on his boss, Schaefer, in order to save his job with the Showtime execs. and that would mean pressing for a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.

In 2009 Bob/Manny hadn't made Mosley, tim and JMM sign with TR to get a manny fight. Since they opened that pandora's box, floyd has asked manny to do same.

The other fighters signed with TR and got the fight they wanted. Had they not signed, you and other manny fans would have interpreted it as ducking/scared/afraid etc.

If manny chooses not to sign with TMT I would expect all of you to do the same thing.

I am a big Pacquiao fan. I agree with Schaefer. I think Pacquiao should change promoters, and managers. Arum is behind times, and greedy to a T.

they didn't. It wasn't an obligation just like Hatton and odh didn't sign with TR. so why did the other guys?

you have no where to go here. if its ok to ask mosley/timm/jmm to sign with TR to get a manny fight its ok for floyd to ask manny to sign with TMT. its just that simple.

Manny deciding not to fight doesn't make floyd's requests obstacles. It makes manny not willing to fight.

The real question is why are things that other fighters routinely deal with-****ty deals, signing with rival promoters, ped testing, etc-always an obstacle for manny relative to the floyd fight but not an obstacle for anyone relative to a manny fight or any other fighter relative to a floyd fight?
