I generally feel Arum is the biggest obstacle to the Floyd Manny fight ever happening.

However, when Schaefer says he'll just offer the same deal as Arum offered for Donaire - Mares... Donaire - Mares never happened, right? So Schaefer didn't feel those terms were OK and he rejected them.... why would he think Arum should accept?

If Schaefer had accepted the blueprint for Donaire - Mares, then I think Scaefer's argument would be a great one. But it holds little weight when he himself rejected that blueprint when he was on the other side of it...

So all we have here is a funny interview with Schaefer. Sure, some of his other smaller points are valid (Arum can pick up the phone rather than talk to the press), but his main point is hollow to me.

You do realize the network isn't the only body on earth with ppv numbers right...right? You do realize everything transmitted over american airwaves has an oversight right? It's called the FCC which a cut of your ppv payment goes directly to. So yeah those numbers are pretty damned accurate, think not..Go to Grantland and tell them that so they can school you and turn you into an article while they are at it.

Grantland is a website just like this one whose content is controlled by the creators and managers of the website. What Grantland says doesn't prove a damn thing because they write opinionated pieces just like every other website. If you have a link to the FCC site that states what Pacquaio's and Mayweather' PPV numbers are, please provide it to us because I would bet my life that Paquaio is not averaging 1 million PPVs fight guys like Bradley and an old Mosley.

I think something is going on behind closed doors that we obviously don't know about.

Think about it, why hasn't any sanctioning body ranked these two guys as each other's mandatory and ordered a purse bid? There's a ****load of money for the sanctioning bodies to make in this fight. So why haven't they?

Pacquiao has his OWN name... they don't need Mayweather's name. manny just finished a fight. He's entitled to make plans for April; why not. But this is how Mayweather & Co operate. They know Manny isnt' leaving Top Rank any time soon for being in contract with them. Floyd uses that for his excuse not to fight Manny... like it's a business decision that doesn't make sense. Yet he doesn't have a problem fighting Khan, or Alexander, or Canelo, or Guerrero for safe trips to the bank. Manny has waited 5 years and Schaefer & Floyd spew the **** out of their mouth in storylines and excuses.

Floyd hasn't grown a set yet, to fight Manny; he's waiting for that growth spurt to happen. It's been 5 years and hasn't happened yet.

Schaefer is a tool but he has a point. HBO has a great production and commentating team and Floyd did duck Pacman with all the excuses and roadblocks but Floyd is the undefeated champion and Pacman is on a ko comeback. What I don't understand is the unwillingness to deal with Arum at all. Let the old bastard be involved and since they know Pacman has a contract with Bob they basically saying there is no possibility for the fight.
