It's been well documented with the UFC and WWE that PPV numbers dip if the PPV is held abroad. Boxing normally doesn't hold PPVs meant for the US audience in other countries so this is probably the first time we've seen it, but it's safe to assume the same thing will happen.Yeah i guess i dont know how they work.
How many PPV events have you put on? I mean you say you know the workings or are you just going on what you have heard or think.
Maybe just maybe it did poor cause it was a crap card with 2 losers headlining but that cant be. It must be China
(“We will open the bidding for a UFC 149 pay-per-view purchase at $49.95. Do I hear $49.95? What if I said I’d thrown in this *authentic* jersey, completely
One thing the UFC has done right is airing international events on free TV and not on PPV. The numbers show that events not held in the North American continent are more likely to be 44% lower than the 5 year average. Those “marquee” events in Brazil, Japan, and Abu Dhabi? They also netted numbers below the PPV average.Comment

Already said this but events held abroad tend to lose coverage from sports media in the US. Also, holding a fight in a major city can get people talking about that fight in that city or state, which in turn creates more buzz. Media are also less likely to fork out the money to send their staff abroad to cover the fight, which again leads to less coverage.I don't get how ppl are saying because it was held in China it sold less. It was aired at the time the ppv's are usually aired.
It was a very weak card with two guys coming off of loses.
TR never announce their numbers so that number more than likely is lower.
The only winner here is Rios, after a loss he made $4million that is if he didn't get more brain damage than he already isComment

Show me a link for when Showtime lost 12 million?Numbers are meaningless if the bottom line is a negative. Arum spends $10 to make $100. Schaefer spends $100 to make $3. This is fact. $40 million for Mayweather, $10 million or more for Canelo, another several millions for undercards, the tour cost couple of millions, even the weigh in was held in grand fashion, Access is produced by amateurs, man they're spending more than they make. Did you see any of that in Pacquiao fights?
Arum is a pro. He has connections. He operates on I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine principle. Schaefer's every move, otoh, cost millions. This is basic.Comment
