I for one dont mind that they cnacelled the PPV for Broner. I love they moved it to regular Showtime. Why you hating on that? Did you want to payComment

Two things to note here. Arum says the event being held in China lowered the PPV buys, and that the event was very successful in Asia.
Arum was pleased with the first major boxing show from Asia in Pacquiao-Rios.
"It was very successful," Arum says. "We didn't do as well with the pay-per-view as we would have done if the fight was in the U.S., but the revenue from Asia more than made up for it."Comment

This ppv was a flop for PAC deal with it just like Floyd fans have to deal with the high probability that he will be fighting bum ass Khan. Stop with the excuses. Really. Its pathetic.Comment

Already said this but events held abroad tend to lose coverage from sports media in the US. Also, holding a fight in a major city can get people talking about that fight in that city or state, which in turn creates more buzz. Media are also less likely to fork out the money to send their staff abroad to cover the fight, which again leads to less coverage.Comment

It's futile convincing floyd fans who don't even use common sense.
Statewide tours using a big bus with the fight ad plastered on the side of the bus, for example, help in promoting the fight if your main audience is in the US. Fights held abroad are almost non-existent. Even in neighboring countries like Mexico and Canada.
Great argument you have thereComment

It's not a matter of opinion. It's pretty well documented that PPVs held abroad tend to have lower buyrates than those held in the US. The link I just posted says the UFC sees a 44% drop in PPV buys for foreign events.Comment
