Is there any options that Mayweather has at 147 that are not cherry picks?

You know why you have to say "ranked contenders?" Because you can't stomach having to say Keith Thurman, a fighter that hasnt even sniffed a C-level opponent.

Whine all you want about the past greats, but Floyd's resume, like it or not, is a fart in the wind compared to them. The difference? Ali, SRL, etc are defined byu the NAMES on their resumes as opposed to the "ranked contenders" on Floyds.
So Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo weren't THE BEST???

Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Canelo Alvarez weren't either THE BEST or THE FIGHTS people wanted to see????

Floyd's beaten 20 opponents that were all either Top 10/RING Champ at that weight class, or Top 10 P4P. That's more then any fighter in recent memory. His resume isn't Top 10 All-Time but he's an ATG, and Top 30.

LOL. The names on their resumes are as big as they are because they were ranked contenders and/or world champions.

Check this list out that I came across. Wins over "ranked contenders" that your *****ing about:

      Sugar Ray Robinson (45)
      Archie Moore (44)
      Ezzard Charles (40)

30 or more--Henry Armstrong, Emile Griffith, Ike Williams, Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Manuel Ortiz

20 or more--Willie Pep, Carlos Ortiz, Jake LaMotta, Jimmy Bivins, Joey Maxim, Jack Sharkey, Kid Gavilan, Joey Giardello, Harold Johnson

Some damn good names on that list, huh?

FIGHTING RANKED CONTENDERS IS WHAT PROFESSIONAL BOXING IS ALL ABOUT. NOT EVERY FIGHT IS GOING TO BE A SUPER DUPER HAGLER/HEARNS MEGAFIGHT

Yes Hagler fought Hearns and Leonard. But that's 2 out of how many fights in his entire career? He's a great fighter because he was the legitimate MW champion who made several title defenses against.......YOU GUESSED IT....RANKED MOTHER ****IN CONTENDERS.

Given how often people fight now days, usually twice a year, 3-4 times max when they're younger, 20 wins over Top 10 fighters or Ring Champs, or Top 10 P4P fighters, that's not too bad.

Why is it so hard for you to admit Floyd vs Thurman is a garbage fight?

I disagree on that part, Ortiz would a legit fight, dude had just destroyed the number 3 ranked WW. Which was Andre Berto, now regardless of how we feel now about Berto "IE he's a bum, he's not that good..

The dude was once ranked number 3 on WW, and was overlooked by Pacquiao, when Pacquiao chose to fight Shane Mosley which was really coming off a 2 loss record becuz "yes Shane lost to Mora"
I still remember Dan Rafeal suggesting that Pac fight Berto instead.

Anyways, Berto gets ran over by ORTIZ. At this time outside of Pacquiao, Ortiz would have been the 2nd ranked WW, atlest on Goldenboy.

But Mayweather-Garcia isn't, and Mayweather-Alexander isn't terrible by any means.

Mayweather-Thurman, not yet. Thurman shold run through Soto Karass, then beat someone like Guerrero, Broner-Maidana, Alexander, Khan, etc. I can see Thurman being an opponent for Floyd in 2015.

Listen people, you can convince the public that fake diamond is real diamond but you can't put shit in front of them and tell them it's gold. I know Arum had success selling shit to the public but Pacquiao was never put in against a fighter who's career is highlighted for taking ass whoopings

Mayweather-Khan would bomb, maybe I'm in the minority with this, I know casuals can be ****** but we're not giving them enough credit.

If it were to happen in May (which it won't) it would be a legit title defense.

Thurman is a legitimate title defense for any welterweight champion right now. Bradley, Alexander, Broner or Mayweather.

People don't think logically though, some how Devon a LEGIT WW champ would be a cherry pick
And yet, Margarito, who was a legit we champ, wasn't worthy enough to fight.

I hate the fight but it does at least 800K in the U.S. and will be a smash hit in the U.K.
