In terms of skill, power and general ability, they are up there with anyone really. They are both very well schooled, were both excellent amateurs and keep themselves in impeccable condition.

they are probably some of the worst in terms of entertainment. They are not very entertaining to the general public, which is why none of the biggest TV companies want anything to do with them unless they fight specific fighters and always end up being disappointed anyway. They've never been on PPV, neither in America or in their adopted homeland of Germany.

All in all I think they'll be remembered with a lot of respect, but will not be spoken of in the same sense as guys like Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, Holmes and other recent greats.
Haha this was exactly what I was going to post!

Fighters' talent is of course vital, but you can't deny the importance of trainers.

Steward is a good trainer, in fact he was training Lennox Lewis, who beat Vitali. If Vitali had been trained under Steward and Lennox had a different trainer, would the outcome of the fight not have been different?

Also, Lamon Brewster had been training under Bill Slayton, who'd once trained Ken Norton, and Lamon dedicated his win over Klitschko to Slayton, who passed away some months before the fight.

Brewster lost Slayton and Wladimir gained Steward during that time. Over three years later they fought again and Wladimir won. Coincidence?

I'm saying that a lot of credit does in fact go to Steward. Most heavyweights in the division today never had the advantage of an elite trainer like Steward.

Guys like Dundee, Futch, D'Amato, etc. could turn Wilder into a weapon of mass destruction if they were alive today.

Wladimirs fight vs Povetkin was one of the worst I've seen in a very long time.

The Klitschko's have been defeated 5 times & I guarantee you those were there most exciting fights according to everyone who thinks they're boring. This is because there 100 plus other fights that all ended in W's were some of the most onesided beatdowns ever seen in a boxing ring & 85-90% of there fights have ended in stoppages.

The way most make them out to be.. you'd think all there fights ended in boring decisions.. Larry Holmes was way more boring & didn't even get stoppages at the end of the night. Lennox Lewis got less stoppages & most of the time was thinking safety first before he unloaded. Bowe... Holyfield Frazier Ali.. Louis all had MORE fights end in boring & More disputed decisions.. even Tyson & Foreman went the distance more.

Both brothers have been more dominant than all the other past greats & former champions... if there fights were a little more competitive EVERYONE else gets elevated & that is there supposed weak competition.

Ali's comp is some of the most overrated we've ever seen & that is because Ali did NOT dominate most of them.. rather let them stick around & even stole a couple of W's... has anyone of THE KLITSCHKO'S 100 victories ever been disputed?

There defeats have.. because they involved situations that occurred during bouts they were normally dominating... only a 2 rd destruction is the SOLE lone legitimate beatdown of them... there's never been anyone like them & there'll never be.. the brothers are hated more because of jealousy than anything else because everything has come so easy for them & all of you's know it!

"Average" heavyweight champion is quite contradictory.

Their average, remember there are very few great heavyweights to begin with! Especially these days where theres so many ABC's belts to give out. Wasn't that giant Russian guy a Champ? Come on he could haunt a gym for christ sake. Whats next Primo Canerra is a top twenty guy?
The Klitz are no where near great boxers but theres been alot worse for sure!

Worst ?? meh... how about "Most Boring" .

The wlad / povetkin fight made me sick---i lost a lot of respect for Clinchko (didnt have a lot anyway) ...i still cant watch the entire "fight" .

Every fight its jab / straight right/ clinch. Thats it. no left hooks , no uppercuts. ZERO aggressiveness .......boring.

Even though the current division is soft... Wlad should have knocked out all these tomato cans in quick , brutal fashion !! But he didnt, and wont.
