The only question is whether it gets done now or later. I can't imagine this firecracker bout not happening at all, it's just too good.

Personally, I would prefer that they have one more showcase card. Adonis vs. Bute/Pascal and Kovalev vs. Fonfara/Dawson.

if these two really want to make more than the standard 2 mil plus for a big time HBO card, it will need to be on ppv.

you guys want to see the fight? you very well may end up paying 60 for it.
I don't see Kovalev being very outrageous with his monetary demands. I think it could be done for regular HBO if they got Donaire-Rigo done for WCB.

Judges won't have a chance to rob anyone in this fight. Someone is getting KO'd.
Yeah it's definitely one of the biggest fights right now.

Who'd have thought Adonis Stevenson, a guy who wasn't really considered legitimate at 168 is the Lineal Champion at 175 and coming off 3 impressive KO's.

You couldn't write it. And that's what's so great about Boxing.

Hopefully it get's made around August time next year because I'm supposed to be in Canada around that time

It will be a pretty classic contrast, an orthodox offensive boxer with decent defense and quality power against a southpaw counter puncher with quality power also.

That is a tough fight for either although the fight might end with one guy wrecking the other but to act like it will be easy for one or the other beforehand is lame.

The champion should never say they want to face anyone next outright, unless it's an obvious big money fight. You lose negotiating leverage if you don't play hard to get.

He didn't show a lot of variety, his offense comes in a limited package.

Yea it might not be next but I think it happens rather soon. That is literally the best fight HBO has that it can make for the regular network, and HBO knows that.

I'm very interested in seeing if Adonis decides to exchange with Kovalev like he was doing with Bellew. I can see a KO moment transpiring from one of those wild exchanges. It seems like Adonis isn't that great up close in those exchanges.
