Stevenson can presumably make good money fighting in Canada against anybody. It sounds like he'll fight Kovalev only if HBO makes an offer significantly above and beyond that.

The Stevenson-Kovalev fight is going to happen. HBO is really pushing for the fight it seems, Stevenson doesn't have that Pac or Mayweather leverage to be able to pick and choose.. If the network wants it, it's happening.

I'm liking Stevenson in the fight, don't get me wrong.. Kovalev is a hell of a fighter, but I've always liked this guy for some reason.

Kovalev isn't a power puncher fascination. He's a skilled fighter with a good jab, good timing and a strong amateur pedigree.

There are times when fans can't tell the difference and can't distinguish between a one dimensional brawler who relies on his power versus a skilled boxer whose power is one tool in his arsenal. But with Kovalev this is not the case. He's the latter.

But is the WBC ok with him fighting the WBO or IBF champion?

WBC is anti unification fights, this should be a fight at 177 so its not a title match

                they're going to scrap.

                kovalev via knockout.
                My thoughts exactly.

We'll see about that last part though.

at everyone accusing Stevenson of being scared. Pay him right and the fight is made. He's not getting Hopkins or Froch anyway. Calm down, HBO knows what they got here. They'll put up the $$$$ to make it happen.

I got Superman over KOvalev. Two big punchers, but I think Stevenson's subtle movements and quick counters will land on Sergey. Obviously a win is only a landed punch away for either guy.

hbo can only pay so much for one fight. they spent close to quarter of the budget for the year when alexander and bradley fought.

if these two really want to make more than the standard 2 mil plus for a big time HBO card, it will need to be on ppv.

you guys want to see the fight? you very well may end up paying 60 for it.

It's not that... It's that NSB collectively **********s to the thought of one fighter being scared of another.
