BS...Floyd has nothing to do with how Manny has to split his money...Manny highest guarantee in (Las Vegas) was 7.4 Million according to NSAC. If Manny has a bad deal thats his problem not Mayweathers...

Bob did that to protect TR in case manny lost. (It looks like the Tim fight was a setup). If floyd does the same with manny to protect TMT, its hard to have a problem with it.

Thats what it comes down to-how posters evaluate similar actions.
Actully - i don't think it's the same - although you're right I said JMM gets 300k. But, I think that was bc he knocked out Pac. Before JMM fought Pac a tird time, I think we can agree that JMM would've been hard-pressed to get 100k. basically, JMM didn't bring more PPV buys to a fight wit Pac then if Pac fought Mosely, Cotto, Margarito.
whereas, we know Pac will bring a lot more buys to a fight wit Floyd then Khan would - you see what Im saying

Rios isn't the one who is being mentioned for Floyd, Pac is. Guerrero beat Aydin and got a shot. Aydin is clearly not in the league of a number of guys Pac already beat.

Wonder what excuse Mayweather will come up with to duck Soto Karass after he's finished caving Thurman's ribs in.

I have plenty answers. And if you thumb through this thread you'll see those answers. I just don't feel like sitting at the kiddie table on the Thanksgiving Eve.

youre misunderstanding what Im saying - its not about a bad deal with the promoter. Its about whether its a joint promotion or strictly a GB promotion. the flat fee didn't even allow TR or Manny to share in the promotion - 40 mil and that's it - for a potential 300 mil fight

Guerrero is a four weight champ and was, at worst, top 5 at welter. I think Floyd Sr's point is that the Rios win means little and that if he wants to vie for a shot at Mayweather, he should face a top welter or junior middle.

the problem with that argument is that Pac has beat plenty - he had one bad night - and really a bad round, bc he was beating JMM and got caught. its not as if Pac did nothing in his career, got knocked out by JMM and then beat Rios. All of sudden all his achievements from '99 - '11 mean nothing?

They all want the fight so long as they get what they want. Unfortunately for Manny-he got screwed in the Bradley fight and KTFO by JMM, which significantly lowered his bargaining positin.

SO it comes down to what Manny and his team will take for this fight. Hopefully, floyd decides to make an offer that doesn't completely take advantage of Manny's bad financial situation.
