My guessis because i the last 2 years JMM and Tim had to sign with TR as a condition of getting Manny fights. In that instance TR is potecting their interest. Is it unreasonable to assume TMT would do same.

As for avenging, no Manny doesn't have to avenge either loss to be eligible for a floyd fight. That sasid, I think we can agree casual fans, in general, stopped thinking manny could beat floyd after the 2 losses.

From a competitive aspect beating those 2 (and I think he killed tim) probably returns a lot of the lost luster.

yes you are 100% right about TR having those fighters sign with them. BUT, they don't have the drawing power MaNNY has, so I think we can agree that the circumstances are a little different. Manny does great PPV #s, wheres JMM really cant do more than 300k as the A side, and Bradley couldt do anything as the A side

My point is - when people say that Floyd's offer is the most Manny ever made - its not true b/c Floyd said TR can't co-promote. his offer was flat 40 mil with GB promoting. big difference. once again, I agree both sides are at fault. but that 40 mil offer was intended to be turned down

floyd sr is the equivalent of ARiza when he was in manny's camp. for the life of me I can't understand why ayone cares what they say.

Bob, Al, Koncz, Ellerbee are far more credible sources within each camp. I'm sure all would lie to protect their business.

Maybe they are just psoturing for negotiating leverage. Just seems unlikely. If you feel like you can give team manny the benefit of the doubt, ok. I can't.

I explained this to you, if you want to overlook it or ignore it fine. He didn't have the MGM reserved on cinco de mayo in 2010. I don't know why they didn't let him reserve it.

The fact is today floyd has the MGM reserved may 5th weekend and knowing this, Manny and his team said they have plans to return April 12th. That clearly shows they are not planning to fight floyd in May as the comments from manny and his team suggest they want to do.

Nothing you post changes the above facts. sorry.

I am criticizing pacs team because out of oneside of their mouth they have been discussing a potential floyd fight out of the other side they are planning to fight someone else. Very simple.

also - all sides are to blame for not putting their egos aside and making this fight for the fans . one thing is clear. this fight would still be HUUUUGGGEE. do more PPVs than the Canelo fight - and generate more mainstream interest for the soprt than anything. My guess is that it will never happen - it would've by now, and that's really a shame. Ive never wanted to see a fight more in the 30 yrs I have been following boxing. Im out - everyone have a great thanksgiving

I find it strange that people think Rios is on the level of Guerrero. He's not. Not that Robert is any great shakes. I think Floyd Sr. is saying that Manny needs to beat a top welter or junior middle. Unless, of course, he is willing to get paid however much Guerrero got paid to fight Floyd.

My man you can't have it both ways. The fact manny can sell over a million is fine. I think we can agree 2.2 mil is to 1.5 mil as 1 mil is to 300k.

Bob did that to protect TR in case manny lost. (It looks like the Tim fight was a setup). If floyd does the same with manny to protect TMT, its hard to have a problem with it.

Thats what it comes down to-how posters evaluate similar actions.

I can definitely see why - I wouldn't for Arum at all - although I truly believe that Roach and Pac want the Floyd fight
