Manny earned 18 million guarantee with a upside of making 30 million if the PPV is good in his fight with Rios...Floyd offered him 40 Million his biggest payday with the possibility of backside PPV. I am criticizing pacs team because out of oneside of their mouth they have been discussing a potential floyd fight out of the other side they are planning to fight someone else. Very simple.

The next fight date is irrelevant really. They both can fight early next year and meet for a showdown in the Fall of 2014. Mayweather must love people hating on him for not making this fight. I still get the impression (however wrong it might be) the majority of people are blaming him for not making the fight.

Anyway I guess we can add 'Manny hasn't earned it' to the list of excuses ... 'health comes first' 'he has to join TMT' 'he gets zero from the pay per view etc' 'he hasn't earned it' etc etc etc

also, big dunn, you have to realize that 25 mil was just for Manny minus his manager's share. the 40 mil flat fee would have to be split with Arum too. Ive worked in boxin industry for years in the past, I know generally how it work. when a fighter has an exclusive promotional contract, and the fighte has afight with another promoter, the promoter that has the contract - Arum here - gets 25-30% of the purse. so, of that 40 mil offer, Pac would get only 25-30. so, he really wouldn't even be making much more money for a fight that is worth double or even triple his fight wit Rios

Manny's lack of income is caused by him resigning with TR. I see no reason why floyd would offer him a deal that makes him more money to offset that.

That said, floyd very easily could've crafted a deal to make sure manny got compensated faily. My guess is he wont because manny walked away the 1st time. I wish floyd would just let the bitterness go over this.

I'm not implying that anyone's ducking. Just that they all talk a lot of guff which doesn't always translate to actions. The truth may mean little or nothing to you, Evol, but it does to me. Roach et al talking about wanting an opponent next means notjing if the announce to fight on a different day and mention different potential opponents (Bradley and Marquez). It's all about making the right noises to the media but happily following a different plan.

How does beating Berto "earn" Pacquiao a Mayweather fight? Andre is 1-3 in his last 4 fights! That fight is well below the caliber of the Rios fight. Manny should beat someone of note to prove to himself & the world that he's ready for Floyd. I agree with Mayweather SR in that it should be someone who Floyd JR has beaten like Guerrero or Canelo. It needs to happen soon though, so that Mayweather and Pacquiao meet within a year. Please, no more BS excuses; Pac get your mojo back, & Floyd, make the fight!

what excuse did floyd make? I haven't heard floyd say anything-just his father. Doeshis father ever say anything that we need to take seriously?

Its not about trying to win the media war or the PR war. Manny and his team have been mentioning the floyd fight since last week-why would floyd respond when a response functions to help promote the fight?

Things obviously can change, As we get more info, then we can adjust our opinions. As for now, Manny and his team announced their plans while also saying they are pursuing a floyd fight. The actions suggest otherwise.

this is true - BUT, if Floyd wanted the fight, he'd say it - he's never shy to say what he thinks. PLUS, he had just said a couple months ago a whole new group of excuses - he has to eat both Bradley and Marquez 1st; he has tosign wit my promotional company - it just seems that it's always something - that's why I understand when people say he's scared b/c these reason never seem to stop fights with others. Did Moesly have to avenge his loss to Cotto bf fighting Floyd - of course not. did any other fighters have to sign wit Money promotions - of course not. so, why does he say these are impediments to a fight wit Manny

I'm sure they could do that. But when roach says he thinks floyd next is the fight they want then Bob makes his comments and the date announcement is clear its not next.

SInce floyd or manny could lose their next fight its too early to discuss sept. SO just be honest about it and have team manny not pretend they want the fight next.
