I actually feel for Manny now, he's broke and needs a big money fight just to try to keep ahead of his massive debts. Its hard to look at but the man many thought was the greatest turns out to be just a man after all, but more than that he turned out to be a guy who refused to leave Arum. Staying with Bob Arum is like refusing chemotherapy once you've been diagnosed with cancer. I don't understand why people refuse to accept why the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight hasn't happened and never will under these conditions.
Manny seems like a trusting sort, a lot of boxers and fighters today seem like genuinely nice people. The sad part is that they are most times utterly unprepared for fame, fortune, and the raw glut of an entourage which is why fortune is probably so fleeting for them.
Beating Brandon Rios was meaningless as long as Manny is with Bob Arum. As long as he chooses to get in bed with serpents he can count on getting bit every single time. Fighting Mayweather would ease a majority of Manny's debt but we must all understand that he's an indentured servant fighting for crumbs, soon all that he'll be fighting for will be a little respect.
