Guererro is a 4 wt champ? at what weights? oh yes, if you want to include interim titles - beating katidis and Aydin for interim titles - I think we can agree not that impressive. BUT, Manny's multiple titles at mult weights ont count to Floyd sr. - all we care is that he lost to JMM, and beating ios isn't enough, OK?

Roach et al talking about wanting an opponent next means notjing if the announce to fight on a different day and mention different potential opponents (Bradley and Marquez). It's all about making the right noises to the media but happily following a different plan.
I can see Manny wanting to avenge his "loss" to Bradley, and certainly his KO to Marquez before taking on Floyd. A victory in either of these fights is a confidence builder for him, and a good build-up with the fans for a Mayweather fight. However, from Mayweather's point of view, I doubt that either fight would encourage him to fight Manny. Floyd already embarrassed Marquez, & is very confident that he can destroy Bradley. Pacquiao does need another fight before calling out Floyd though. This brings me back to Sr's picks of either Guerrero or Canelo.

whereas, we know Pac will bring a lot more buys to a fight wit Floyd then Khan would - you see what Im saying
ABsolutely. Manny has big value as the only opponent who most of us think can help floyd sell another 2 mil plus ppv's. But as we saw with Canelo, floyd/haymon/GBP have done a good job of using the ppv undercard to create viable opposition.

If floyd fights Khan he better pray the UK buys big because I can't see it doing anyting here

SO it comes down to what Manny and his team will take for this fight. Hopefully, floyd decides to make an offer that doesn't completely take advantage of Manny's bad financial situation.
exactly! like I said before, everyone needs to put their egos aside and realize the fans stil want this - look weve been going on and on about this. Wouldn't I be great if we went on and on debating who was gonna win their upcoming fight, instead of this. now Im truly outa here

            • **** this fight. I'd rather see Mayweather vs Martinez in 2014. Too bad both of these fights are unlikely to happen.

All of sudden all his achievements from '99 - '11 mean nothing?
No - but how much is Pacquiao willing to get paid for his services now? It's not about accomplishments per se.

                • i agree with the old man

BUT, neither should beating aydin, berto, trout etc, get you a fight with Floyd either.

I'll wait to hear from lil may since he's all about the MONEY and a fight with Pac as we all know will bring him the biggest pay day ever. Unfortunately, thats lil mays bottom line...

                  • This Pacquiao fight was just a tune up to give him his trust back, Alvarez it's at the same level as Rios, That Fkr can even pit up a combination, the factor was that us Mexicans are craving for a great fighter to represent us, and with JMM on his way out we really don't have much....Floyd Sr don't make excuses Pacquiao it's 100% better than Alvarez, Judah, Guerrero or Ortiz and all of these fools got their chance.....Excuses, excuses!!! Give fans what we want ball to the wall and step to the plate, if it turns out to be a one sided affair so what, we are used to it by now with all of these ***n mismatches!!!!

He's actually a two weight champion, unless world titles have become diluted to the point where interim title's are acknowledged as being legit. And he won his first title from a guy that wasn't even ranked among the top ten in that division.

And what was the basis for being ranked among the top five? Aydin and Berto?
