$40 mil, no ppv guaranteed lowballed is better than $18 mil guaranteed with the potential to make $30 mil anyway you cut it. You ever ask your boss for less money? My guess is no.
Now take my balls out of your mouth and stop justifying a man that takes short easy money rather than tough big money. If he doesnt want to fight floyd thats fine. There are others who will gladly will.
Are you seriously this thick or are you so emotionally invested in Mayweather that you'll defend him at every cost? Let me just repeat this once more so even your tiny little brain can comprehend it: Mayweather offered Pacquiao zero percentage of the ppv money to a man who'd consistently generated over a million buy rates in his last three fights. A fight that would have grossed hundreds of millions of dollars in ppv revenue alone, and Pacquiao - a proven and comparable draw to Mayweather - wouldn't have made a single cent out of it.
If you're incapable of understanding why that offer was so ridiculous, why it was nowhere near comparable to Mayweather and Kovalev (@ this comparison) being low balled by De La Hoya and Warren respectively, there really is no helping you. Seems years of regularly deep throating Floyd has impaired your ability to think with reason and logic.

LOL at getting a limo, getting in and out of those spots took me until about 2:20 am after Mayweather/Cotto to get out of dodge and I wasn't even ********.
Youre overestimating how much a stadium would make badly

tragic and obvious cashout
went from dying for this fight to dreading it horribly
Floyd ducked Pac until he turned old
but Floyd ducked too long; Pac was eliminated by someone else
he doesn't deserve the KO he'll get over a shot to shit Pac
but if Pac beats Rios, watch Arum throw Pac's corpse in with him
this whole situation sucks

Basic math, bro: PPV accounts for at least 80% of total gross. So he WOULD get all GUARANTEED money -- EVEN BETTER than a cut of PPV, which is a risk.
Keep in mind, if the fight does $200m in PPV revenue (not a sure thing, by a long shot), 50% or more goes to cable and satellite.
5% goes to Showtime. That leaves $90m in PPV revenue. With an extra $40m (assuming 20% of total pot) in revenue streams, that's $130m total.
Now if you include marketing, staffing, insurance, sanctioning fees, paying the undercard, and other variable costs, what do you have? You can easily subtract $10m from that.
That leaves $120m -- and GBP still gotta eat. Assuming 5%, which is actually low, btu for argument's sake, let's run with it. That leaves $114m.
And that's not a sure-fire thing. It could tank and do $20m less, in which case you have $94m.
Then you pay Manny $40m, which has to be FRONTED, which means you have to factor in NPV and DCF (though it won't be that much, but still something to look at)! I'll get back to that.
That leaves $54 million -- money Money wouldn't get paid till the Monday morning after the fight!
To make the deal even sweeter, Manny would get it months before the fight! He would have the full $40m in 72 hours. That's an AWESOME offer for someone with the spending habits of Manny.
What's $40m of $94m? That's right, 43%. Which is higher than the 60/40 spin they were trying to feed the ignorant public. Add in the extra $1.5 Manny would get in interest from getting it upfront (Net Present Value again, for those who are financially literate), and now his cut is suddenly 45%.
Mayweather takes on the financial risk of the event. Therefore they can never do "50/50," unless they do a joint venture without Bob Arum.
With that said, receiving a projected 40-45% MINIMUM cut UPFRONT, there is ABSOLUTELY no reason he should've turned that down -- unless they wanted to continue to do in-house fights and cut shady deals under the table with the various casinos in town.
But that's another discussion for another day.....
