good to know. Great internet knowledge.
Pavlik was a good Middleweight who couldn't deal with slick fighters. Williams was outboxed by Quintana and Lara (yet won somehow). He never proved anything at 160. Macklin, Barker, Murrey all average to slightly above average fighters. Nothing special at all. Chavez is all size no ability. Martinez's run has not been that impressive. It's unfortunate the division is finally getting better while he breaks down.

He has plenty of flaws though that better fighters would take advantage of. Hell Kermit Cintron was outboxing him for stretches of their fight. To Martinez's credit I think Golovkin would have struggled against Pavlik.

Not only will he lose to GGG by KO IF he ever fought him but he has no intention of ever fighting GGG and that should be obvious by now. Hell if he was going to fight him he would have already fought him by now. I would be thrilled if Martinez ever signed to fight GGG but it's just a fantasy fight. Martinez lost to Paul Williams when he was dead in his prime. He never saw the day he could beat GGG in my opinion.

Every fighter, even p4p boxers, have some kind of flaw that can be exploited (except the rare case like Floyd). I can do what you did with every boxer's resume.

None of those are average boxers. Only a few can rise to championship fights.

GGG would massacre him right now and I'd favor him slightly against the version that knocked out Williams.
I would not make an argument using that sentence.

Who the hell has GGG beaten, if Martinez hasn't beaten any one of note since Pavlik, then Golovkin is 0-0 in his pro career.

Barker holds a major title and is ranked in the top 10, Williams was, Chavez was top 10, so was Murray.

Martinez has beaten 5-6 world ranked fighters, how many has GGG beaten? one maybe two....He is a legend in your eyes right lol
I don't care about those ****** ass rankings. I go by the eye test. None of those guys are very good. That's why GG walked through Macklin and he will walk through Murray.

I don't have an argument then. When Golovkin walks through the scrubs Martinez beat I will. That seems to be what his promoter is trying to do anyway.

Geale isn't that good either. Winning a title doesn't mean what it used to.

I can't see it. Martinez has the heart but not the tools anymore. I hope he shuts it down. Unless HBO offers him a multi million dollar contract for GGG gracefully bow out while he can still walk on that already gimpy knee.

Martinez is not gonna "dominate" Golovkin. He could be 100% and the fight still wouldn't be so one-sided.

Martinez's movement would give GGG issues. I have to see Sergio again before I make a definitive pick.
