lol it's short for "porky pies" which is cockney rhyming slang for lies.

    porky pies

Porky pies rhymes with lies - cockney rhyming slang.

Martinez woulda had trouble with GGG when he was fresher
he's not shot yet, but he's slipping for sure
GGG will definitely beat him, maybe KO him
Martinez needs movement to handle him, he won't have it
he was easy to find for Murray and got dropped a couple times
Murray isn't even a power puncher either
GGG will give him a beating if they fight

GGG wont be the strongest fighter he ever fought, Chavez was huge and a crusierweight fight night. He may not even be the hardest hitter he may face considering Pavlik has an 80%+ ko percentage against stiffer competition than GGG.

If he comes back in good shape and fully rehabbed I can see Martinez stopping GGG late on cuts or an accumulation of punishment. A good long rest May benefit Martinez who has been fighting at a high level for a while and fights at a fast pace.

GGG doesnt move his head, has to be set to punch. He does go to the body well and that will help him but Martinez is not a powder puff puncher, should have his movement back, and is tricky.
I can see why you'd think this given GGG's last fight. He didn't look fast enough to handle a healthy Sergio. I'd still lean toward GGG. I think his skill set will nuetralize sergio's speed.

good to know. Great internet knowledge.

Pavlik was a good Middleweight who couldn't deal with slick fighters. Williams was outboxed by Quintana and Lara (yet won somehow). He never proved anything at 160. Macklin, Barker, Murrey all average to slightly above average fighters. Nothing special at all. Chavez is all size no ability. Martinez's run has not been that impressive. It's unfortunate the division is finally getting better while he breaks down.

He has plenty of flaws though that better fighters would take advantage of. Hell Kermit Cintron was outboxing him for stretches of their fight. To Martinez's credit I think Golovkin would have struggled against Pavlik.
good points. Seems people are still stuck on the kO of Tall Paul.

After watching GGG`s fight with a past his prime Kassim Ouma,i could see even a shot Sergio Martinez beating GGG.GGG struggled real bad against a past his prime Ouma.At the time of stoppage, the fight was close.A prime Ouma would have probably beaten GGG.

Last time out, post-injury Sergio looked like a shell of the fighter he was. He looked slower, heavier, lacked his usual sharpness and snap.

I don't know if that Sergio can beat any top fighter. Prime Sergio, IMO, beats GGG up. His speed, jab and movement (not to mention power) were all great. If he can get the 185lb iron chinned Chavez backing up, he can back anyone up.

Prime Sergio was close on the cards with Macklin before the stoppage. How would GGG do vs Macklin, what do you think? Prime Sergio also lost about 5 rounds to Cintron. Cintron!
