Unless he is completely shot next year, I pick Martinez to dominate GGG

He has to proof more to me before I say he can get by Martinez who has been fighting world class middleweights for years.

IMO it has more to do with what Martinez has left, than what GGG has that will determine who wins...most definitely in his prime or 2 years ago against the current GGG he'd make him look foolish
What world class Middleweights has Martinez been beating since Pavlik? Paul Williams? I certainly don't see Barker, Macklin, Chavez as world class. Martinez actually hasn't done much for years except feast on the Euro level fighters. I also thought he looked terrible against Murrey and deserved to lose. GGG would massacre him right now and I'd favor him slightly against the version that knocked out Williams.

Right, that's why Golovkin wants to fight him so much I guess?

They are both better and more accomplished than anyone GGG has been in the ring with also have a better resume than GGG himself.

Pavlik was solid , very good power, very solid chin and held the genuine middleweight title. defended it several times and only lost to Hopkins and Martinez two guys and the time

Williams was exciting and fought at a world class level at 147-154 is better than every one GGG has faced as well

GGG would have gone through hell if he fought either of these guys, win or lose

Macklin is the best fighter GGG has beat, so in your opinion GGG has beaten no world class middleweights right?

Barker holds a major title and is ranked in the top 10, Williams was, Chavez was top 10, so was Murray.

Martinez has beaten 5-6 world ranked fighters, how many has GGG beaten? one maybe two....He is a legend in your eyes right lol

Well by then Sergio won't get any of those huge fights and Golovkin will be the biggest.

Prime Martinez never existed. At least not in HBO. The Martinez that fought Bunema and Cintron still does the same exact ****** mistakes he always did.

You could notice with his fights in 3 different years against 3 different opponents, Pavlik, Barker, and Murray, that he does not change his ways and his errors. Current Golovkin vs 2008 Martinez would end up the same as if current Martinez was healthy in 2014.

Now Martinez may simply lose because he is old, close to retirement, and coming off an injury/surgery. But if Martinez was 100% right now, there would be nothing different. Martinez has never fought a skilled, successful former Olympian. Pavlik, Williams, Murray, Dzinzuruk, Barker, Macklin, Chavez Jr, Cintron. Murray and Williams beat Martinez and a this point of Martinez's career Golovkin will end up being tougher than those two because of Martinez's age and health.
