This guy always has excuses man. Every single time he looks bad there is some kind of an excuse.

      period.

thats what nonita sees when he sleeps.
I have no doubt he lost some confidence after that fight. He even admitted to trying a new style in the Darchinyan fight and he brought his father back out of nowhere, he is just confused at the moment. He needs to mentally get back to where he was and just prepare SPECIFICALLY for Rigondeaux's style instead of doing what he did in the first fight which was just aim for the KO.

Don't get how people are saying they saw the exact same Donaire as always. In what other fight as he ever averaged 26 punches thrown per round? That's nothing like him. It was low for the Rigo fight as well (but still higher), but that's understandable considering the style he was facing.

This would explain him looking kinda off throughout the fight. This reminds me of Michael Jordan when he played with the flu against the Utah Jazz. He hit the game winning shot and like Donaire was clutch when it mattered the most.
          Hahahahahha nonito and jordan.

Dude, youre outdoing yourself. Pure comic relief.

This guy pulls off a last second come from behind win and people are hating on him?!?! If you replace donaires name with most anyone else near the weight everyone would be singing the praises of that fighter.

The former trend of every 2 Days being about making weight will now be replaced with the new trend of guys with the flu. =\

yah donaire looked sluggish, very hesitant to throw, his movement and punches weren't quick or as sharp as they used to be...anyone could see that was not the donaire we are used to seeing...the excuses donaire is making could all be true, but it's better for him just to stay quiet because it just gives more fodder for his haters...

Poor excuse by Donaire, give Vic his credit. But why are people so upset with Donaire for saying this, yet were so accepting of Floyd and his flu excuse for Cotto and he didn't even knock him out.

Donaire needs to spend more time with Robert if he wants to be a better fighter.

Montiel is the best win of his career imo. He has not had an impressive performance against a worthy challenger since. Mares has been exposed now... he got KTFO by a 9-1 underdog in August. I was ringside for that and all of our jaws hit the floor. I thought Mares was top 10 p4p material at the time. I was wrong.
