i used to be a huge donaire fan but these excuses are killing me. vic didnt make any excuses after what was about as devastating a loss as you can take all circumstances included. yet donaire feels the need to make excuses anytime he doesnt look as good as he wants to.
im also fed up with his ever lasting love of his damn left hook. its gotten to the point where he would probably be a better fighter if he didnt have that rocket left hook, because he wouldnt spend all night waiting for a chance to counter with it. he hardly used his jab all night, threw very few right hands (even though it was there for him the entire fight) and im not sure i can recall a single combination consisting of more than 3 punches until he had vic hurt.
lazy is the only word to describe it. some ppl might say that falls in line with his flu excuse but the bottom line is you dont make excuses. if you decide you are well enough to fight you simply give your opponent credit at the end of the fight no matter what happens. its not fair for him to be in a lose-lose situation all because of you, he deserves credit if he does well so either keep your mouth shut or dont fight at all.
i like that he called out rigo though, thats what a true champ should do. i just hope arum doesnt pull an arum and fcks it all up. he probably will though.Comment

How is having the flu an excuse when you knocked the other guy out?
All this proves is that Donaire has the heart of a champion like JordanComment

People jumped on me when I said Donaire was unworthy of being top 5 p4p or even top 10. He's just not that good. I'm sorry. Anyone with some boxing ability gives the guy trouble. You saw it with Vazquez, Mathebula, Rigo and now Darch when he actually tried to box him. Nonito is a limited fighter.Comment
