and thats where their career stops - at the amateur level. (Russia being different is NOT Eastern Europe). Very few eastern Euro Boxers if any make it to the World Class Stage - there are exceptions of course like the Klitch Bros but these days you see more and more Eastern Euro AND Russian fighters also making their way to the American shores to learn how to box at clubs like Wild Card LA, Gleasons Brooklyn NY etc etc. They now understand that a satellite looping left hook and a wide flat footed stance is not smart boxing and can't quite hold up to the American and Hispanic (especially Mexican) fighters. I will give you Cuba but it is a completely different animal and again it's NOT in Eastern Europe.
No disrespect meant to my friends in Latvia (Baltic), Belarus (White Russia), Ukraine, Vilnus (Baltic) and Poland etc etc..- just stating the facts. Another poster called American fighters Puss*es and i was just giving him an education since he was touting Eastern Euro Boxers as being righteous and not concerned about $$$$ which is a total farce. EE's LOVE $$$$ and in many cases it means more to them than family.

    Peace

The Olympics have showcased many of the great fighters from there and we can thank GGG for opening the door to this region. You can expect to see many many more great Boxers from Kazakhstan (Very tough guys and well trained).

Reminds me of how May Jr ducked a Prime Cotto in 2007

The DUCKing is due to GGG being not just a threat but "THE THREAT" , just like Cotto was to JR.

        Ducking is Ducking !!!!

        PAC,Ruslan and GGG don't DUCK

If anybody believes this, I have a bridge I would like to sell you. This is Golovkin's excuse for fighting a stiff in February. If every fighter at 160 is ducking Golovkin as his team believes, all he has to do is move up to 168 where he can face Froch and Ward anytime he is ready. But, according to his team, he has unfinished business with three to four journeymen at 160.

It's funny you mention Ward. He already cleaned out his division and he's bringing down LHW's and fighting a stiff instead of moving up and facing the two people he can fight on HBO

For people who want ggg goes up

                  1. He is 32 next year.
                  2. If he goes up, there less possibility that he goes down to 154 and face Canelo, Cotto, an other guys.
                  3. He wants to collect belts because to my mind he deserves this belts.
                  4. Going up he can lose as he is the guy who goes forward everytime and of cource will get strong counter punches.
                  5. Its better for him to clear his division before going up or down. Cause if he lose, other boxer will appear and will say ggg wasnt the best in mw and so on

You call WBA, WBC, WBO belt champions journeymen? They all wait any mistake from ggg. Going up now it is mistake. GGG can collect all this belts and defend them regularly as he is fihgting 4-5 times a year.

Why Ward doesnt go up and face LHW? He was fighting at LHW when was younger.

murray is probably angling for a barker fight ... a brutal loss to GGG would scupper that.
